About Pind Restaurant

Pind Restaurant is a Pakistani restaurant in Bradford, on Bowland St, where meals are served at low-level tables. The menu centres on karahi, with lamb and chicken versions, and tawa fish, which comes alongside a special fish fry. Lassi arrives by the glass or by the jug, with mango and sweet versions on offer. Breads run from garlic naan to kulcha naan and tandoori roti, so there is plenty to share across the table with the curries and kebabs. The restaurant is open daily.

Customer Review Summary

The complaints are specific. One family reports small portions, a tiny salad container and very little sauce for six or seven portions, then a dismissive reply when they phoned. Another describes a long wait to be acknowledged, a side-corner seat, and a curry swimming in oil. A third found the chicken tough and the dishes like standard takeaway fare. Others mention a tiny car park, noise, low tables and poor toilets. One reviewer notes a Pak Cola jug costing far more than a litre bottle.

“I must say, this place is definitely worth visiting for authentic Punjabi food. The curries and kebabs are absolutely delicious and full of flavour. I would strongly recommend visiting Pind – Taste of Lahore. The hospitality is exceptional, and both Sophian and Preet are incredibly welcoming, respectful, and attentive. A wonderful dining experience that I would gladly recommend to others.”

“Very disappointing experience. We ordered approximately £90 worth of food for a large family gathering and were shocked by how small the portions were. The quantity provided was nowhere near what we expected for the amount spent, and it left several people disappointed. To make matters worse, the salad arrived in a tiny container and did not seem fresh. We were also given a very small amount of sauce for six to seven portions of food, which was completely inadequate. The most frustrating part was the customer service. When we called to raise our concerns, we were met with a rude and dismissive attitude and were effectively told that the situation was our fault. Had we been informed that larger portions or additional sauces required an extra charge, we would have happily paid. Instead, nothing was explained to us when ordering. Unfortunately, what should have been an enjoyable family event ended up being overshadowed by the poor food portions and the way our concerns were handled. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this restaurant.”

“I had chicken karahi and nihari at Pind restaurant, and both were excellent. The quality was perfect, and the taste was amazing with proper desi vibes. The half kg chicken karahi can easily serve 2–3 people, while the nihari is good for up to 2 people. I also had a mango lassi jug, which makes about 4 glasses (pics attached) & tasted absolutely fabulous. Overall, great food, good portions, and a really enjoyable experience. I’d definitely recommend it and visit again.”

“Maybe regulars get treated differently, because after our experience I genuinely don’t understand the high ratings. Travelled 2 hours for this place and it ended up being one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve had. We waited over 10 minutes just to be acknowledged in a half-empty restaurant, only to be seated in a side corner that looked worse than a takeaway shop instead of the dining area they advertise online. The food then took ages to arrive, and when it finally did, the curry was swimming in oil and the “salad” looked like something thrown together in a cereal bowl. I genuinely couldn’t even bring myself to eat it. Poor service, misleading presentation, and completely not worth the journey or the hype.”

“Prices and taste aren't what they used to be. Pak Cola jug now costs £10 😳, but a litre only costs 89p. I will never go to this place again. People should boycott establishments like these.”
