About Abaseen Manningham Lane
Abaseen Manningham Lane is a Pakistani restaurant in Bradford, at 88 Manningham Ln, built around a Peshawari menu. Katwa gosht is on that menu for diners looking for a dish that is harder to find elsewhere, and the chapli kebabs are cooked to order. Lamb karahi rounds out the main dishes. The restaurant is open daily, so it works for a meal on any day of the week. A hall upstairs hosts parties such as weddings and birthdays, which gives larger groups a space of their own.

Customer Review Summary
Chapli kebabs draw the most mentions, described as fresh and cooked to order, with a massive portion and a milder heat that one reviewer says suits anyone who struggles with spicy food. Not everyone agrees: a few call them average or okay-ish, and one first-timer found them not what they hoped. Lamb karahi comes close behind and is called very nice and delicious, though one diner found it unsalted and like bland boiled meat, and another suggests getting the full kilo because the half was not big enough. Others praise the katwa gosht, chicken malai boti, beef karahi and big, warm naan. A Tawa for two fed three adults, yet one reviewer felt the tikka pieces and chicken curry used cheap chicken, and another rated cleanliness as poor, while a different diner called the toilet very clean. The fish starter and kabuli rice read as bland or not authentic, and the decor is called outdated. Service is mostly described as friendly and quick, and one table was given kawa on the house.

“Haven't been to abaseen in a long time and boi have I missed the chapli kebabs. The chapli kebabs were fresh, cooked to order. A straight 10/10. The naan was fresh, warm and tasted very nice with the chapli kebab. The mixed platter was alright tbh, not the best not the worse. The seekh kebabs and chicken bites were pretty standard, could be better. The fish was good and the kabuli rice was decent but again could be better. The kabuli rice wasn't that authentic imo. Portions sizes reasonable for 2-3 people. Nothing wrong with the service, staff were friendly, food was served quick. Interior and decor inside seems pretty outdated. Hopefully they can change this for the future.”

“Spot on place. Nicely done chapli kebabs and hearty food. This branch tends to have less spicy kebabs, which is not a negative thing necessarily. It would suit those who want to try chapli kebabs, but struggle with spicy or hot food.”

“Great place to visit plenty of seating arrangements they also have a hall upstairs for parties ie, weddings and birthday parties etc. Great staff very attentive nothing is an issue for them they accommodate everyones’ needs. The toilet was very clean and tidy and was equipped with all the necessities most places you go to they stink or they’re out of loo roll 🧻. The food was great, if you go here the Katwa Ghost is a must try aswell as their chapli kebabs. The kawa was perfect too which was on the house. So if you’re in Bradford near the manningham lane area trust me go to this restaurant and give the katwa gosht a go, not many restaurants do this dish but this is an amazing dish when its done right and Abaseen you have smashed it out the park here guys well done and keep up the hard work.”
