Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the salmon, called beautifully prepared in two reviews, with the crab starter, duck and wild boar sausage close behind. Diners also praise the Sunday roast and the extensive wine list, naming a Vermentino, and describe the team as courteous, professional and attentive. Several mention generous portions, set menus and deals they found good value, along with the back garden terrace and complimentary mini chocolate eggs at Easter. The complaints are specific. One lunch visitor describes a long gap before starters, after which both mains arrived a minute later, plus a salmon salad with only a few tiny pieces of fish, burnt toast with jarred onion jam, and unavailable dishes including the tarte tatin. Another found the mushrooms on brioche boring and a roast with barely any vegetables. Two reviewers found the cauliflower cheese underseasoned or not cheesy. One diner notes that vegetables and roast potatoes come to share with the early supper deal, so no sides were needed.

“Went last night, staff, food and service was great! I will be returning. The 7pm early supper deal you also get vegetables and small roast potato's to share so no need to order sides! We didn't know and ended up with loads ☺️”

“We had the mushrooms on brioche which was pretty boring and didn't look appetising. The roast was nice but there was barely any vegetables. Thank goodness we ordered a cauliflower cheese which wasn't very cheesy. The cheescake was nice”

“Beautiful hidden gem in Westbourne! Can’t recommend enough. We’ve been a few times now and can’t wait to spend time out in the back garden terrace area with a cocktail this summer! Food is incredible and portion sizes so generous - honestly, add it to your list and you won’t be disappointed!”

“We had a wonderful Easter Sunday lunch at Harvey's, our food choices, Salmon and Beef were both beautifully prepared, served and tasty, the couliflower cheese although was delicious and enjoyable was a tad underseasoned for my liking, but that is always a personal preference. The service by both the serving staff was attentive, friendly and very professional also, the ambience was lovely. The wine selection was very extensive, and a great choice with the "Mon Roc Vermentino" that we enjoyed. May I add, all this in my opinion, being at a very reasonable cost. The complimentary mini chocolate eggs was a lovely touch, they were devoured and went down with the wine a treat. I would thoroughly recommend Harvey's, for a culinary experience but it is wise to book in advance.”
