Customer Review Summary

Diners consistently single out the crispy fried chicken as the standout, several calling it some of the best they've had, alongside repeated praise for the Ssambap bulgogi, mandu, and the prawn tempura cupbap. Close behind, drinks draw their own following, with the Dalgona latte, matcha, and the London dog iced drink mentioned by name, plus the strawberry croffle made with real strawberries. Reviewers coming for their first Korean meal describe generous portions and fresh, handmade ingredients, and several note the packaging held up well for takeaway. The cosy, homely decor with board games and books comes up repeatedly as making the space feel relaxed for families, dates, or solo lunches, and multiple reviewers describe the staff as friendly and happy to guide newcomers through the menu. No recurring complaints appear across the reviews. One reviewer recalls choosing dishes together with a partner and finding the portions perfectly sized, a small moment several others echo when describing meals they plan to repeat.

“Wholeheartedly recommended Bon Dabang to anyone. I've been going since they were located in the Sovereign Center and was so happy to see they were successful enought to upsize their establishment. I fully believe it's the nicest place I've ever dined, from the atmosphere that is so cosy and welcoming, the lofi music, decor and aroma floating in through the kitchen to the super friendly, helpful staff that are a joy to interact with. The food is a league if its own, I've been slowly working my way through the menu and crossing off what I've had to see fully what there menu is like and they haven't missed ONCE, everything is delectable. Fresh, yummy and very respectable portions all for a decent price, what's not to love? Personal favourites and recommendationsare the; DRINKS: Pineapple Iced tea, and the Dalgona latte FOOD: Everything... seriously...its unreal. But top picks would be the Ssambap - bulgogi, Rose tteokbokki (or spicy both are sublime), Spicy pork cup bap and ANY of the mandus on the menu. If you're in the area it's a must eat, if you're not it's worth travelling for take my word for it. (I'm based on the Isle of Wight and it's a treat coming to the mainland because I know I can swing by here for a bit to eat)”

“Amazing restaurant. Food was incredible, the crispy chicken had a beautiful texture and was very tasty, the prawn tempura cupbap was absolutely stunning served on a beautiful bowl and very tasty with a good mixture of salad, rice and prawns. The dumplings were beautifully cooked and the smoked salmon and avocado sushi roll was very good also. The staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome, the space has a very laid-back vibe and is family-friend. Can't recommend enough!”

“Visited today and got food and drink to takeaway and i couldn't reccomend more as a vegetarian. Extremely hygienic, floors and table were all spotless! Staff were all very polite. Large selection and choices on the menu. I got the mini kimbap (veggie) it was super fresh ingredients and a huge portion. The (veggie) mandu came with 5 large peices all stuffed with glass noodles and veg, not overly greasy too. Together they came with pickled radish, vinegar and soy and a spicy mayo and a pot of carrot and cabbage. Packaging is biodegradable and very neat. Not a cheap eat kind of place, but the price is well reflected in the fresh ingredients, large portions, homemade food and not at all expensive considering what you get. Can't wait to visit again.”

“We stumbled upon Bon Dabang and were so glad we did. We’d never tried Korean food before, so we decided to go for the rolls and both ordered the tempura prawn. They were lovely, with great flavours and really enjoyable. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming, and the place was spotlessly clean. A great little find and we’re really happy we discovered it.”
