  “Wow!!! We came here as a small class outing and, honestly, the best lamb I’ve ever had! We started with a spiced beef dish, which was super tasty and the hit of cinnamon was a nice surprise! Accompanied with traditional pancakes for scooping up the meat and peppers, we all really enjoyed this dish! Then came the lamb shanks and rice! Delicious and fall off the bone tender, it was incredible! We loved the fragrant rice and the spicy sauce; everything was absolutely stunning! The service was fantastic, super friendly and really helpful. If you haven’t tried this place yet - please make a beeline there. Thanks to all the staff for looking after us so beautifully 🤗10/10”

  “This was our second time visiting this restaurant for lunch and alhamdulillah, it did not disappoint. The food was delicious, flavourful and truly matched our taste preferences. This restaurant has now become one of our favourite lunch spots 😍. The Somali rice was absolutely delicious and the grilled chicken was top-notch. Previously, we tried their grilled chicken burger and we also had the Somali rice with lamb shank, winch was equally impressive. The lamb shank was juicy, tender and scrumptious 😋. The sauce served alongside the dishes was also excellent, with a wonderful flavour that really satisfied our taste buds! Not to forget their Chai was superb 👍, rich, aromatic and full of flavour. The staff provided excellent service and were very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant has two floors of dining space, with the upstairs area being more spacious and comfortable. The washroom was also clean andwell maintained. Overall, it was another wonderful dining experience and we highly recommend Hooyo's Spot for anyone looking for delicious Somali cuisine in a warm and welcoming environment 😍👏👌”

  “I visited Hooyo for the first time today with a friend, and we ordered the lamb platter and the loaded lasagne. From the moment the food arrived, I was impressed by the presentation. The lamb was incredibly succulent, tender, and full of flavour. The rice, lasagne, and fries were all equally delicious, with every element of the meal cooked perfectly. The combination of flavours and textures made it a truly enjoyable dining experience. The portions were generous, and I appreciated the eco-friendly takeaway packaging using a bagasse container and paper bag instead of plastic. We finished our meal with some chai, which was the perfect way to end it. The service was excellent from start to finish - we were warmly welcomed, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely hospitable. I would highly recommend Hooyo to anyone looking for delicious food and great service. I’ll definitely be coming back!”

  “I tried Hooyo’s spot for the first time because I wanted to experience Somali food and it was absolutely delicious! The food tasted just like a homemade meal and wasn’t too spicy. The meat was incredibly tender and the rice was amazing. On top of that, the prices were very affordable. The person who served us was so welcoming and kind, which made the experience even better. I’ll definitely be coming back, it’s now one of my favourite restaurants! I can’t wait to bring my family to try this amazing place”

  “Amazing experience mā shāʾa -llāh!! Loved the food and they are very welcoming. Decided to come for the first time after reading reviews, definitely worth it and will visit again. We had the lamb shank and grilled chicken, they gave some tea as well on the house. Thank you so much for the experience Hooyo!”
