Customer Review Summary

Fresh bruschetta is the dish reviewers return to most, served mixed with poached eggs in one account and called flavourful alongside a meatball panini in another. Close behind are the breakfasts, including a Veggie Brekkie, and the pastries, where a Portuguese tart with a caramelised aroma stood out. The affogato, a hazelnut frappe and a penne dish also earn praise, and several call the coffee tasty. Staff are described again and again as welcoming and friendly, and a few note the service was quick for a newly opened place. Reviewers call the café cozy and homey, though fairly small and likely to get loud when busy. Complaints are practical: a sofa that slid away from the wall, a table with no cutlery or salt and pepper so one party borrowed from an empty table, menus without vegetarian and vegan markings, and a juice that was not fresh.

“A nice café for a drink or a tasty meal, fairly small, so it could get loud if busy. We decided to pop by this place for brunch near closing time, which was different from what it says online. Thankfully, they were still serving food. The staff at the counter were very polite, and the menus provided were clear, although they lacked distinct vegetarian and vegan icons to distinguish the meals. The drinks were tasty and fairly generous for the price, although the Hot Chocolate extras, such as marshmallows and cream, cost 75p each, which is pricey since some places offer them for free. While we were sitting on the sofa, we found out it wasn't screwed into the wall properly and would slide away from it. Our table also had no cutlery or seasonings like salt & pepper, so we had to take cutlery from the empty table beside ours. The food arrived quickly after the drinks, and we didn't have to wait long. Both the Penne and the Veggie Brekkie were delicious, although I did find a rock-solid avocado pit in the guacamole included with the Brekkie, which we raised with the chef. Overall, the atmosphere and service are very welcoming, and we will likely return if we're visiting Bolton again. I definitely recommend it for a party of two; for anything bigger, there is seating outside.”

“Great atmosphere, feels really fancy and clean inside with a bit of a homey vibe. Food was delicious and the coffee was equally as good. Prices are decent, especially for what you get. And the staff were really friendly. I'll certainly visit again.”
