Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the warm welcome from the owners, who are described as lovely to talk to and who make regulars and first-timers feel at home. The hot roast beef and onion barm, served with fries and a side salad, is named more than once, and others mention a bacon and cheese toastie, a pomegranate salad, a toasted sausage, egg and hash barm, and a vegetarian breakfast alongside a standard one with a choice of white or brown toast. Portions are called generous and plentiful, prices reasonable, and the tables clean, with a wide menu running from a scone to a full English. The one recurring caveat is pace: one reviewer notes the food is slow to the table because everything is cooked to order, while another says their breakfast came out really quick. One reviewer was too full to try the desserts, and another mentions sweet treats to take away. Reviewers also describe the chef checking that diners are enjoying their meal.

“Highly recommended! An absolute must before or after shopping or simply to brighten your day - absolutely guaranteed! A warm welcome from charming Katherine upon entering this beautiful, spotless, restaurant-like café, order quickly taken - and what a well chosen, extensive menu it is - and then excellently prepared by lovely Hamid. Generous portions - sadly missed out on the scrumptious desserts because we were too full. The bacon and cheese toastie was tasty and the hot roast beef and onion barm, crispy fries and the most delicious pomegranate salad I have ever tasted was truly excellent. Top quality cuisine at very reasonable prices. We left the Four Seasons Café delighted with our meal and feeling as though we were leaving a pleasant family dinner. Congratulations and thank you, Katherine and Hamid - outstanding hosts and superb food, very well done!”
