About Gilnow Arms
On Deane Rd in Bolton, Gilnow Arms is a pub at number 258 where the entertainment runs on a regular schedule. Bingo, Play Your Cards Right and quiz nights give customers organised games to join, and a pool table and darts are there for casual play. The bar runs offers, and pies and pasties are served on certain days. The owners say they know their regulars by name and what they drink, and the locals know one another, so newcomers join an established crowd. Parking is limited, though a few spaces are available.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the friendly, welcoming atmosphere, with staff and the landlady described as friendly and helpful, and regulars who all seem to know each other. The pints draw steady praise, especially the Guinness, along with a good selection of beers at a reasonable price. Pool and darts get repeated mentions, and one regular describes calling in on Fridays for Guinness and games of pool. Others mention bingo, quizzes and play your cards right nights, plus offers behind the bar. A wheelchair user describes a ramp for entry and for reaching the upper lounge lounge area, and says staff and customers readily lend a hand. On the downside, one reviewer notes there is no food beyond pies and pasties on certain days, and another says the parking isn't vast though some spaces are available. One visitor going to the football found plenty of room, and a family reviewer felt welcome.
