About The Hungry Elephant
The Hungry Elephant is a cafe in Blackpool, at 234 Whitegate Dr, where breakfast comes in three sizes chosen from a list on the menu. Each size comes with a drink and a slice of toast, and the choice of items is yours. Scrambled egg on toast with mushrooms is one of the options, and chai masala is served alongside the usual drinks. Home made cakes, including orange cake, can be eaten in or taken home. The room is compact, with quite a few tables. Two owners run the cafe, which is under new management after the previous owners.

Customer Review Summary
Breakfast is the draw at this café, with reviewers describing a choice of three breakfast sizes, a five item breakfast with toast and tea, and a large breakfast that comes with a drink and a slice of toast. Close behind are the home made cakes, including orange cake taken home for later, and the omelette salad, which one reviewer called to die for. One reviewer also singles out the chai masala. Several visitors came back after the change of management and found the two new owners friendly, and many describe the staff as lovely and friendly. Reviewers repeatedly call the prices reasonable or great value, and one notes a wide choice on the menu. One regular says the space is compact but never uncomfortable, while another calls it spacious, and no review raises a complaint. Two reviewers say the place deserves six stars rather than five, and one visitor came away stuffed after a lunch where a server stopped to share family photos.
