  “The Miller and Carter at the NEC has mever failed us. Its a well oiled machine that delivers during peak demand. The staff are efficient, the food is awesome. We love it here, and always book when we are nesr this venue. It's a preferred choice. Consistent food and drinks, atmosphere and the staff are genuinely lovely even though they are running round maintaining everyone.”

  “Food was shocking the lettuce had bugs in it. And the £40 pound steak was so over done asked for it medium as the menu recommended, came out beyond well done. £108 pound to eat something you could cook better yourself.”

  “Great service this evening, couldn’t fault it. A shout out to Magda my waitress, she was attentive, polite and made me feel welcome. Food was amazing as always and came quickly considering the restaurant was busy.”

  “We came in on a busy Saturday evening and were served by the delightful Bella. I felt confident that my food would be gluten free even thought it was so busy. She teased my husband about sharing my pudding and even brought him a teaspoon before giving him a proper spoon. It was all done in such a fabulous way that it made our evening memorable”

  “I've been here several times for a meal, and I've never been disappointed. I most recently came here yesterday, and I was with my family celebrating the birthday of my Brother. Our table was for 6 people, and half of us ordered the 50 day aged, sirloin whilst the other half ordered the 30 day aged ribeye. I opted for the ribeye, as I've had it before and am yet to be disappointed. The steak was excellent, cooked perfectly medium rare as requested. My brother also ordered the ribeye, but cooked medium as the menu recommends. I personally prefer it medium rare, but to each their own. I ordered the red wine sauce with my steak this time. I chose the spicy sweet chilli lettuce wedge, which was nice as it was served with crispy onions, and that gave it a delicious crunch. It was however, very spicy. Perhaps next time I'll stick with the usual bacon and honey mustard, however any of the lettuce wedge options are very good. For my side, I chose the triple cooked chips. As usual, they didn't disappoint. The service was decent, on the whole. The waitress we had was a little bit rude to my mother and father, who queried whether or not they'd received the correct steaks theyr ordered (which was the sirloin and which was the ribeye). I'm sure that isn't how she usually is and was a little bit stressed, so I try to understand. However, it was a simple, harmless question and there wasn't any need in my opinion for her to respond how she did, rudely and overly assertive. The atmosphere was it's typical bustling self, not too busy and loud you can't hear your companions talk, but busy enough to feel some sense of atmosphere. The view is also very nice from the restaurant, looking over Pendigo Lake at resorts world. In summary, a delicious meal with a good atmosphere and setting. If you love quality steak cooked by chefs who know what they're doing, Miller and Carter is a good bet. 08/05/2026”

  “We were stopping at The Crowne Plaza so this was just a two minute walk away so it was ideal as we didn't need to use the car. We were seated quickly with our table having a view out over the lake. We were served by Magda who was so friendly and efficient we couldn't fault her. The food was marvellous but the downside was that the room got a little noisy at times as it doesn't benefit from the partitions you find in other restaurants in the chain. However, we would not hesitate to return if we're ever back in the area.”

  “Absolutely five stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ After a very disappointing experience elsewhere, walking into Miller & Carter was a complete breath of fresh air. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel genuinely welcomed, looked after and valued as guests. A special mention has to go to Magda, who was exceptional. Her warmth, professionalism and attentiveness completely turned our evening around. She was empathetic, calm and proactive, and made us feel comfortable and cared for without it ever feeling forced. It’s rare to encounter service that feels both polished and truly human, but Magda delivered exactly that. The rest of the Miller & Carter team were equally fantastic — attentive, efficient and clearly well-trained. The atmosphere was relaxed yet professional, the service seamless, and the overall experience reminded us exactly what great hospitality should feel like. What could have been a ruined evening was completely salvaged thanks to Magda and the wider team, and we left feeling uplifted, relaxed and grateful that we chose Miller & Carter as our alternative. We would return in a heartbeat and highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for excellent food paired with outstanding customer service. Thank you to Magda and the entire team for restoring our faith in hospitality — you truly went above and beyond. p.s. We told her it was our anniversary at the start of the meal and we were presented with the below desert/image. So sweet :-)”

  “Our server, Donna, was attentive, professional and very friendly. She was a pleasure to deal with. The food was great, we went for the 2 course offer which was much cheaper than buying from the main menu. Have noticed since our last visit that prices have increased significantly on both food and drink - it has been a couple of years since we last came.”

  “Had a lovely meal here, service was excellent. Donna was our server and was very friendly, and helpful. Drinks and food came very quickly, and could see that all the servers were happy to help each other. Donna made sure to explain the menu (we ordered from rare treats), and happily gave us our desserts to take away. Steaks and sauces were very good, and general atmosphere lovely overlooking the lake. We will be visiting again!”
