Customer Review Summary
Desserts and pastries draw the most praise, especially the viral fruit pastries, where the pistachio and mango one stood out, along with a kunafa brownie described as crunchy outside and soft inside. Close behind are the savoury plates. The Nihari is called very tasty, the Beast burger had good flavours, and the Sultan came with two big parathas. The buffalo milk karak chai was creamy with a faint cardamom taste. Several reviewers also like the botanical, eclectic decor and the friendly staff. Value gets mixed comments, with the burger smaller than expected and the Sultan seen as pricey without a chai. The harshest reviews describe long waits. One diner received a cold breakfast and cold tea, and the till offered only a refund, with no apology. Another found the benedict's sourdough tasted like sweet brioche, the sauce vinegary and the eggs not as requested, and a warm chocolate cookie arrived burnt with a rock-hard middle. One family recalls a staff member giving up his own seat so their pushchair and high chair would fit.

“Very welcoming and clean cafe. It tailors exclusively to a halal menu with a vast and flourishing food menu. Also vegetarian options. I had to the full English. For £12.90 And cappuccino £3.50 The meal was well present, portion size worth it! The music is lovely in the background, staff are friendly, approachable and modest dressing. I highly recommend.”

“Assistant knew her stuff advised me to go for a eggs benedicts advocado sour dough bread meal it took about 15 mins to arrive which was long as no one else was in the restaurant. Mushrooms were nicely seasoned and had substance and texture Asked for cooked salmon which they did very well thankyou. Supposed to be on sourdough but it tasted like a sweet brioche bread i know what sourdough is and tastes like so i was surprised. Asked for medium egg got 1 medium hard and the other 1 was runny Egg benedicts sauce tasted vinegary Avocados non existent .... 🤔 So last night a friend introduced me to this place we had a warm chocolate cookie 🍪 it was so nice last night. So i ordered with 🍦 icecream my chocolate cookie arrived like a SIZZLING PLATE i could hear it, took a look it was pactically burnt tried to eat it hard burnt taste and I nearly burned my mouth and broke my spoon. The middle was like a ROCK!??? that is an understatement. They didnt take any care or attention to what i ordered I spent approx £15 and it wasnt worth it the best part of the meal and dessert was the seasoned mushrooms Also she refunded me £3.90 not £4.40 that i paid for my ROCK BURNT COOKIE dessert. Other than that the external gardens are a car fume trap due to outside traffic not good for anyone with asthma or lung issues and it leaks into the indoor dining area.”

“Have been wanting to try the viral fruit pastries and got lucky with this Cafe. Tried only 4 items despite the varieties on display. The best was the pistachio and mango one. It was very satisfying experience overall. If you love desserts this is the spot to go for. Must go and try the rest of the available ones. Price was reasonable”
