The Lounge is a family-run bistro in Bingley, on Queen St, serving homemade breakfast, brunch and lunch with table service. The breakfast menu includes a vegan plate of scrambled tofu, sausages, hash browns and beans. Coffee comes from North Star, and a full bar serves beer on tap. For something sweet, the kitchen offers a selection of cakes, including a vegan pistachio and carrot cake, along with scones and tea. A chocolate board comes as a shared pudding. Customer Review Summary
Breakfast is what most reviewers return for, with the plentiful cooked breakfast called delicious and the vegan version singled out for well seasoned scrambled tofu, good sausages, hash browns and beans. Staff come up almost as often, described as friendly, funny, talkative and helpful, including with elderly parents. Evening visits earn their own praise. One diner calls the scallops and salmon excellent quality and value, with a shared chocolate board as a small sweet finish, and another describes a five course set menu as out of this world, with the crème brûlée good but a step behind the earlier courses. Daytime visitors also mention the vegan pistachio and carrot cake, a scone, aioli fries and coffee. The main complaint comes from one reviewer who rated the food superb but sat acknowledged yet unapproached for a long stretch, then found the greeting formal and without a smile. Another found the tea went cold quickly.

“My husband and I like to eat out for breakfast and tried The Lounge a few months ago for the first time and have been coming at least once a month since, with our two dogs. The Lounge is consistently lovely. The breakfasts are plentiful and delicious. The service is always friendly. Great location with car park next door and Myrtle Park so close.
