  “Had a fantastic evening here for their "music night" last Friday. Lovely welcome, the most excellent meal and great service! Couldn't fault a thing! My wife and i started with scallops - amazing! Main was duck which was incredible! And a fantastic panna cotta to finish. Will always go back whenever we are in the area!! Thankyou!!”

  “We recently visited the Beauvoir Arms, and although I don’t usually leave reviews, I felt this was necessary. This has always been a local favourite for us—we’ve visited many times in the past and even held events here—so it was really upsetting to see how much it has declined. The place looked extremely run down, dirty, and generally uninviting. There was one member of staff, who appeared to be the manager, and he was very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, the rest of the team seemed completely uninterested. When we asked for our food order to be taken, it felt as though we were inconveniencing them. The food itself was very disappointing. The roast dinner resembled a frozen ready meal, and the potatoes were undercooked in the middle. The kitchen door was frequently left open, and we could see staff on their phones, which didn’t inspire confidence. We ended up leaving shortly after our main course. As we walked past the bar, it also looked unkempt, with broken drinks fridges and an overall neglected feel. It’s such a shame, as this used to be a lovely restaurant with a warm atmosphere and friendly staff. I really hope to see improvements in the future.”

  “We held a big family gathering with 21 people. Only 16 yele able to make it and the restaurant was fine with that. The service was great with friendly and attentive staff... a little too attentive sometimes - clearing away my bottle before it was empty! 😡 The food was lovely overall though again my steak was supposed to be "medium" but I think was medium-rare - being a very thick steak and slightly undercooked. Perhaps butterfly cut would have been better.”
