Customer Review Summary
Diners praise hot, good-value food, with the spare ribs and Singapore fried rice noodles named most specifically. Spring rolls are described as super crunchy and the crispy duck as not soft at all. One reviewer calls a delivery prompt and piping hot, and another mentions friendly staff and a refurbishment. The chilli oil and chicken in pecking sauce are also singled out, even by unhappy regulars. The recurring complaint is manner on the phone and at the counter. Several describe rude handling, including being shouted at when chasing an order that ran well past its quoted time, and being made out to be a liar after dry salt and pepper chicken pieces arrived instead of chicken in pecking sauce. Others report an Uber Eats order that still had not arrived after midnight, and a delivery that came very late and cold. One customer was told by phone the shop was cash-only, then at pickup that this applied only to small orders. When she had no cash, she was told her food had not been made anyway.

“Had to change my review as,I have just had the worse service ever from a takeaway, mainly due to the very rude young man in the phone who seemed to just make me wrong, and him right, He didn't want to listen and just kept going on about the postcode having I letter wrong at the end( everyone else delivers to here ok). Very rude and arrogant and the food arrived nearly 1.5 hrs late and cold.... NEVER AGAIN. YOUNG MAN ON THE PHONE NEEDS LESSONS IN CUSTOMER SERVICE AND LEARN SOME MANNERS!.”

“I ORDERED ON UBER EATS AT 11:04. IT IS CURRENTLY MIDNIGHT! 12:23AM FOOD HAS NOT ARRIVED. I WAS TOLD 20 MINS AND FOOD NEVER CAME! LITERALLY DONT LUVE FAR FROM THE PLACE. The food and the chilli oil can be so tasty BUT THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS SO POOR! I AM SO HUNGRY AND SITTING HERE STARVING HAVING GIVEN UP ALL HOPE… they always do this will their customer service and I am not satisfied at all. I’ve been craving it for the last however long it’s been, Sad to see that a business with good food lets down their customers like this. Maybe someone should expose them on social media so people stop buying from them and maybe they’ll realise something has to change and that you can’t do this to people. ALL I ORDERED WERE THREE THINGS, RICE PROTEIN AND CHILLI OIL??! #BOYCOTTFORTUNESTAR….My fortune is that your future is not looking bright if you don’t serve paying customers properly.. 😡 I’m FUMING. What do you mean it’s MIDNIGHT and my food isn’t here…”

“Appalled at the disgraceful service a family member received this evening. Called in advance to make order. Woman on the counter was rude on the phone throughout the call with an attitude of not wanting to be there. She informed us that they were strictly cash-only. Fine, only when family member went in to collect her small order, informing the lady on the counter that she’d been able to pay by card last time, she changed her tune and said that it was actually cash-only for under £10 (didn’t mention this on the phone). Because she had no cash on her, family member said she’d have to leave her food then, only for the woman to say “we didn’t make it anyway” ?!?!?! Appalling service and not surprised that many other reviews left mention the rude attitude of the lady on the counter. What a shame, will make sure to never order from here again as as the face of the business she should be making far more effort to give customers a welcoming experience.”
