  “Tried this takeaway after being let down by numerous others nearby. The food was certainly authentic and has obviously been cooked fresh with some thought and some love. Top marks for cooking a chicken bhuna that actually looked like a chicken bhuna containing tomatoes and delicious large pieces of succulent chicken breast. Was i blown away by everything? Er not quite but would certainly try again!”

  “Ordered a chicken tikka vindaloo, chicken and garlic fried rice with a chicken tikka madras and special fried rice last night. The delivery driver was exceptionally friendly and the food was excellent. Their was an abundance of chicken in the curries and the rice was delicious. Just wondering if you'd deliver to Crayford as I had the meal at dad's in Wilmington. Will definitely be back for more.”

  “I rarely leave negative reviews, but unfortunately my experience with Mahan Indian Takeaway has been extremely disappointing. The first time we ordered, we did so after receiving one of their takeaway menus through our front door. We chose to have it delivered, and the food took almost two hours to arrive. I had to call the restaurant to find out where our order was before it was eventually delivered. Tonight, we tried to order again early incase the delivery took two hours again, and were told they do not deliver to our address because we are supposedly outside their delivery area. This made no sense, as they had already delivered to us two weeks before and they had also distributed their menu to our home. When I questioned this, the member of staff I spoke to was incredibly rude and the conversation became argumentative and dismissive. I was told even if I spent “£1,000” they still wouldn’t deliver to me. When I replied that it was a shame because we would be good returning customers, I was told that they didn’t care about losing our custom. Since this experience, I’ve read a number of other reviews mentioning similar concerns about customer service. While no business will get everything right, when multiple customers are reporting similar experiences, feedback should be taken seriously.”

  “Absolutely disgusting customer service totally and utterly rude behaviour never experienced anything like it in my life I have eaten before and was lovely but this time the customer service was disgusting 🤢 As if the custom wasn’t needed was told they didn’t care or need my custom or anybody else’s,makes you suspicious really to why they wouldn’t need custom and are happy turning customers away? Its customers who make a business run will Definitely not be returning and will be making sure I warn many others to avoid at all Costs if they don’t want there evening ruined by rude and arrogant men.Such a shame as the food is lovely but the service just can’t warrant a return”

  “So about a year ago we had a takeaway from Mahan and it was okay, but not it's usual knock out punch flavours, it was just bland. So we left it.....until today. We ordered 3 poppadoms, a Prawn Puri starter, two chicken tikka mains a tandoori mixed grill with plain naan and two special fried rice for about £50. When I collected the takeaway I specifically checked with the staff, that the tandoori mixed grill comes with a plain naan bread, and was assured that it does. Except that when I got home, there was no naan bread. Cue a really hacked off wife, who really enjoys her naan bread. Too late to drive back the food will get cold and everyone is already hungry, too late to call as nothing will happen, so not a great start. The prawn puri was okay, if exceptionally mild. From my tandoori mixed grill, despite the lamb tikka being rather tough, it had that really nice flavour that Mahan does so well. Unfortunately the chicken tikka was bland in comparison and the tandoori chicken even more bland. The rice was fine, as were the poppadoms (we ordered three and received four, so kudos for that thanks) and the delicious dips and salads. But it seems to me that Mahan has simply lost its mojo in terms of that classic tandoori flavour that you get from places like Tayaabs or Lahore II in the East End of London. It's a real shame. I will try again at some point to see if the flavour has returned and next time I will literally double check my bag to see if the illusive naan bread I've paid for, has been included. 5/10”
