  “Food was cold and over cooked. Went in for breakfast. There where items missing from breakfast. Which they did bring out after we brought to attention of waitress. The drinks didn't taste right almost yasted like the soft drinks had been cleaned but some cleaning stuff was in my drink was not nice. Lovely place i think maybe we causght them on a bad day”

  “Arrived right at 11:00 AM for that quiet morning atmosphere, only to be personally handed a "clean" cup with our order that was anything but. Nothing quite says "attention to detail" like being directly given a cup featuring a delightful crust from the previous shift, all while surrounded by a dining room of sticky tables left completely uncleared. Truly a masterclass in front-of-house hospitality. If you enjoy your morning brew with a side of mystery residue and staff who hand you their cleaning failures face-to-face, you'll feel right at home.”

  “Worst meal we have ever had in a wetherspoons. Ordered 3 simple meals and a garlic bread via the app. Took 30 minutes for our drinks to arrive and a further 15 minutes for the food. When the meals did arrive they were all dried up and virtually inedible and the garlic bread was so dry we couldn't cut it with a knife and had to break it up and again was inedible!! Nobody around to complain too so it all got left and basically we wasted £25.00.”

  “Beyond disappointed with our visit today. Ordered our drinks & food at 2.05pm (party of four). Waited 25 mins for the drinks to arrive, then waited 75 minutes for our food order, which never came. When we chased up the order after an hour, we were told they were just cooking our chips. We asked for a full refund for the whole drinks & food order, which they provided straightaway, and we left to go elsewhere. We will not be returning. It wasn't even busy! The whole time we were there, not one table was cleared of dirty dishes. We all had to clear & clean our own before sitting down. Not good enough!”

  “I fall into the camp of not being able to ignore Wetherspoons rather than being in the Neverspoons camp. Reasonably busy late afternoon & a couple of hard working girls on the bar. Outside was popular - we sat inside. Wetherspoons offer GREAT VALUE if you’re eating or drinking or both. A 175ml glass of Villa Maria Sauvignon Blanc & a very nice pint of Stella for £8.34 which is extremely good value when compared with the £15+ we’d paid for a pint of craft beer & a glass of white Rioja in the previous venue we’d visited. The pub was clean, modern & cool. We didn’t wait long at all for each of the three rounds that I ordered & paid for at the bar.”

  “This is a good Wetherspoons. It was market day in Beverley the day I visited but the throughput was excellent and the food and drink both of a high standard. The staff I spoke to were friendly and efficient.”

  “Don’t order on the app - it takes 20 minutes! Even though there’s a queue at the bar you will get served quicker. Trolleys piled high with dirty glasses. Tables not cleared for ages. Only good thing is the price - but is it worth waiting for?”

  “I use this venue as a regular place to meet friends on a Sunday. Alcoholic drinks are very well priced, good value. Some complain about waiting to be served but you need to realize this is why the prices are low. I tend not to eat here now because I do not like the fact you can no longer get basic gammon, eggs and chips, Steak or what used to be fav the Mixed Grill. Its a decent sized location and usually has seating for solo, small groups or large etc... It is what it is.”

What started as a quiet afternoon suddenly turned into a packed house—far busier than usual for the day—but your team handled it like absolute professionals. Every member of staff worked tirelessly, keeping smiles on their faces while managing orders, clearing tables, and ensuring everyone was looked after without a hitch. The efficiency and hard work were truly impressive, turning a potential chaos into a seamless experience. It’s clear you all take pride in delivering great hospitality, even under pressure.   “Visited on Wednesday for an early lunch and really enjoyed it. Easily my favourite in East Yorkshire so far. Multiple rooms, well presented and festive. You can choose your room to eat in based upon taste, ranging from quaint at the front, to modern by the bar. We were sat by the fire in armchairs, and it was good to keep placing logs on the fire. Really pleased with the service and the food was decent too. Had the 'Chicken, Stuffing, Bacon + Cranberry Panini' together with a 'Big Cheese Pizza'. Would certainly recommend a visit for an early lunch, as it wasn't too busy.”
