Customer Review Summary

Biryani leads the praise, with the chicken tikka biryani called a chef's special and the lamb biryani described as aromatic, well-spiced and generous. Close behind are the dosas, which one regular says taste authentic enough to feel like home in Malaysia, served with sambar that arrives hot and several chutneys. Garlic and cheese naan, chicken jalfrezi, smoky tandoori chicken, pani puri and mango lassi also earn mentions, and staff are repeatedly called friendly. The complaints are specific. One diner found the dosas lacking filling and the pani puri lukewarm, another called the masala tea basic, small and served at the end of the meal, and a third found the paneer biryani a bit spicy. The sharpest criticism concerns rice portions with mains that one reviewer calls shockingly small, while an extra side of rice arrived much larger and staff replied defensively.

“Superb flavours (makhani Dahl, chicken kadhai and mushroom rice). We have voted it out most flavoursome meal from a week of eateries in Belfast. Fairly priced including drinks. Thank you for a great meal.”

“Had a great experience at Bites of India! ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The customer service was warm, attentive, and efficient throughout our visit, making us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. The staff were helpful with recommendations and ensured everything was served on time. The food was equally impressive. The lamb shank was tender and full of rich flavour, slightly salty, while both the chicken tikka biryani and lamb biryani were aromatic, well-spiced, and generous in portion. The cheese naan was soft, fresh, and perfectly cheesy, and the tandoori chicken was beautifully cooked with a nice smoky taste. Overall, a very satisfying dining experience with great food and excellent service. Would definitely recommend!”
