Customer Review Summary
Pani puri is the starter reviewers name most, praised alongside samosa and gobi manchurian as dishes that recall Indian street food. Close behind are tandoori chicken, palak paneer, garlic naan, veg makhani, and a lamb dish served with rice described as cooked to perfection. Diners call the food delicious and some of the best Indian they have eaten in Belfast or outside India. The menu spans South and North Indian dishes, but one reviewer felt some items, the medhu vada in particular, seemed pre-cooked and just heated up. Another found the staff not very attentive even though the room was not busy, though that reviewer said it did not detract from the meal. Elsewhere the staff are described as friendly, warm and kind, and one repeat visitor makes time for the early bird offer. One table recalls the staff finding gentle dishes for a non adventurous friend while firing up a couple of epic vindaloos.

“We are French travelers, and we came across Pawan’s restaurant, Bite of India. I never post reviews, even in France. But I swear, I eat a lot of Indian food in France, and I have never eaten such a delicious dish as the one Pawan made for us tonight. It was absolutely delicious! Thank you for the food, and for your smile. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves Indian food!”

“The staff and owner are very friendly and helpful. The food is delicious and we try to make time to catch the early bird offer. Served up to 5-30. £12-95 for 2 courses. Been 5 times now and love it 🤩”

“A good Indian restaurant in Belfast with a good selection of both South Indian and North Indian dishes. The dishes were tasty, however some seemed pre-cooked and just heated up - eg. the medhu vada. However overall a good Indian restaurant that wouldn’t disappoint you. The staff were kind and friendly too.”
