Customer Review Summary
Diners repeatedly single out the paneer tikka and the tikka masala as standouts, with several also praising curries served in traditional metal bowls with brass handles and a lunchtime chilli naan from the three-course menu. The restaurant's view of the castle and its seaside setting draw regular mention, alongside a clean dining room and staff described as attentive, with one reviewer specifically praising an older gentleman's service. Most call the food tasty and well presented at average sit-in prices. One reviewer, however, was disappointed that the samosas lacked cashews and raisins, found the starter sauces uniformly sweet rather than minty or distinctly mango, and felt the tikka masala itself was too sweet, though they still called the staff friendly and the paneer okay. Several reviewers say they plan to return, and one closes simply on having enjoyed the meal and looking forward to coming back again.

“We chose it because it said that it is really good food, real Indian. We were disappointed as samosas didn’t have cashews and raisins in, than sauces for starters were all kind if sweet, also the one that is supposed to be minty, wasn’t. Couldn’t taste mint. Mango sauce just sweet, didn’t know it was mango until i asked. Tika masala was also too sweet. Paneer was ok. Staff was friendly.”

“Had a brilliant meal at this spot in Carrickfergus. Everything was absolutely spot on. The presentation was lovely, especially the way they serve the curries in those traditional metal bowls with the brass handles. It really adds to the experience. We enjoyed every single bite and left feeling very satisfied. Highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area. We will definitely be back again soon.”

“This restaurant is unreal!!! Stumbled across it accidentally. To be fair, from the outside it doesn’t look like much but my goodness the cooking is utterly fantastic. Beautiful fresh flavours. Quality ingredients. I’m vegetarian (the paneer tikka was delicious) but others said the chicken was excellent quality and cooked beautifully. The service is super and the restaurant is so clean. Highly recommend.”
