About The Tipsy Bird
The Tipsy Bird is a cocktail bar at 90-100 Ann St in Belfast, open Thursday to Sunday and closed Monday to Wednesday. Cocktails are made fresh in front of you at the bar, and the list includes tiki cocktails. The Brewers Yard adds a container bar, garden games and fresh pizza with a choice of toppings. Bottomless brunch brings pizzas to the table, and drag brunches sit alongside bingo nights on the events list. Cocktail masterclasses can be booked for groups, and the whole venue can be hired for private and work events. Tables can be reserved with a deposit, and the bar queues when it is busy.

Customer Review Summary
Cocktails are the most consistent draw, with reviewers praising drinks made fresh in front of them and tiki cocktails that one visitor called good. Close behind are the events: a group cocktail class tailored to the party, a drag show for a milestone birthday, and full venue hire for work events, where the decor and the outdoor space with garden games suited a summer BBQ. Homemade-type pizzas with various toppings in the beer garden also earn praise. Service during busy events draws the most complaints. Bottomless brunch and bingo guests describe one or two bar workers facing a packed room, drinks that were very slow to arrive, and a bingo night that stalled while people queued. One reviewer says a bar worker replied to a queue-jumping complaint by saying it was not a queueing service. Others mention plastic cups, sticky tables, and a DJ playing country music at full volume. One reviewer reports a doorman behaving inappropriately toward their girlfriend. At one bottomless brunch, four pizzas, two ham, one olive and one tomato, reached the table only after five rounds of drinks.

“Did the bingo night and the organisation was terrible. They had a bottomless brunch on until six, but bingo started at five. They had 1 bar staff on from 5-6 with a bar full of parties trying to get Served drinks. I waited for over an hour to get my first drink. The whole bar screamed when they tried to start the bingo because pretty much everyone was still at the bar waiting to get served. The poor lads doing an amazing job had to wait to start there part of the night. The bar staff where sloth like serving and weren’t doing simple things like serving cans and insisting on poring into glasses instead or pausing cocktails till they got a handle on the backlog of waiting punters. In all many people where complaining 2 of are party decided to not drink at all rather than try to get served basically it was a shit show and if we could all get r money back for the tickets we would. They did one round of binder 2 numbers of the second round then it just all descended into madness and not wow what a good night madness more like everyone asking what’s going on madness.”

“I've organised two work events here within the last year (where we hired out the entire venue), and the team have been excellent to work with (especially Rhiannon). They were responsive to my queries, helped with setup, and very accommodating with the external suppliers that we brought along for the event. The existing décor is fantastic (we didn't need to add much for the venue to look well decorated), and the outside space along with the games was perfect for our summer BBQ events. I would highly recommend the Tipsy Bird for private events”

“Booked for group cocktail class. Very good experience. Tailored to our group event & staff were accommodating for all requests. Excellent beer garden, pizzas were homemade type, various topping options & throughly enjoyed by all in the group. High recommend this bar & all the staff who looked after us. Beautiful interior and outside decor”

“Came here over the weekend with some friends and really couldn’t fault them! Drinks were amazing and great to see cocktails being made fresh in front of you unlike some places and the staff were all so kind. Especially the guy in the black tshirt RD and bar staff Loren for their energy and kindness through the night. Music was great and the atmosphere made it worth coming! Will definitely be back again!”

“Booked to come here for a bottomless brunch at 4.30pm on a Saturday for my friends birthday. We were seated at our table and waited 15 minutes and noone came to take our drinks order so one of us went to the bar to ask what was going on, we were also advised that the pizzas would be coming at 5pm by a member of staff. At 6pm... 90 minutes after being seated 4 random pizzas arrived at our table. We were brought 2 ham pizzas, 1 olive pizza and 1 tomato pizza. We didn't have a choice of what pizza's we could have but after having 5 rounds of drinks without any food, any pizza was literally welcomed. Not sure I would come here again for a bottomless brunch as the timing with food/ drink ratio was completely off. The drinks were really nice though!”
