  “Food not like it used to be. Soups good. Hot starter choice very poor, ribs far too fatty. Main meal was fine with plenty of meat. Wouldn’t return again unfortunately.”

  “Had Sunday lunch while aware it's a carvery i found the food cold, this might not annoy some people but unfortunately im not one of them and much prefer my food warm at least. Also can't understand why the same carvery is £28 through the week and £35 on a Sunday when it's exactly the same food”

  “Went to the Carvery for my niece's 16th Birthday, we were a table of 9. To be honest the food is the worst we have ever had, school dinners would have been warmer with more flavour. Only 3 choices of hot starters.. the ribs were pure fat and what little meat there was dry, the chicken wings were drier than sand and the cocktail sausage tasted strange, literally no seafood selection at all barr 3 small glasses of salmon cocktail that looked like it was sitting there all day and the rest just very basic salad stuff. The meat in main course was beyond dry especially the roast beef, the gravy was extremely watery with no flavour and none of the limited sides were even warm. We came away hungry and left feeling extremely disappointed and quite frankly ripped off being charged 30 pounds pp for this.”

  “First and last time dining at Tullyglass Carvery. Walked into the hall and found a table by the windows to sit 3, rather than take a large table in the main hall as it was only tables free for seating of 4+. We got starters and sat down to be then approached by a staff member demanding to know who seated us as she had a large party coming in. We explained when walking in there were no staff members visible or no host stand so we assumed it was self-service/seating, we offered to move but she told us we could stay seated and offered to get us water, we waited a good while and eventually got our own water from the bar and glasses as she never came back to our table, but proceeded to add reserved signs to other tables. The soups were cold and allergens weren’t marked out at the cold starters, again no staff near by to ask and chefs serving mains weren’t accessible as they had queues of people, the main dinner was lukewarm with a very bland taste, the gravy was watery and there were no substitutes for gluten free stuffing/Yorkshire puddings which was advised there would be when booking. Mid way through eating dinner another member of staff advised us we Shouldn’t be sitting at the table we sat at which left the atmosphere completely uncomfortable and unwelcoming. The gluten free Dessert was dry and also lacked taste. Didn’t feel welcome at all, and didn’t appreciate the telling off twice, even though we tried explaining we never dined here before and there’s no signs for procedures or any forewarning from reception when getting tickets. Poor service and poor management of staff yesterday.”

  “We've eaten in the hotel's McAllister's Whiskey Lounge and found it very pleasant, but the carvery is another matter altogether! An overpriced hotel buffet offering mediocre food. I opted for the Vegetable Wellington which was served up on a plate too small to accommodate it. The pastry was overcooked on top and barely cooked on the bottom. My son chose the roast beef which was dry and a bit tough and the selection of vegetables was limited; carrots, peas and cauliflower swimming in a lackluster cheese sauce. We arrived there at 6.30pm and by 7.30 we were the only ones left in the room surrounded by staff hurriedly and noisily preparing for the next day's breakfast.”

  “Shockingly poor quality of service from what used to be a great venue. Recently celebrated a family event and from booking to the day of the event every time we called they told us about price increases. When we complained to the manager and attempted a price compromise we were told a fair rate would be offered us on the day. Absolute lies, we arrived the day of the event and were told that a price increase of 25% from the price we were quoted when we booked was all they could do and no mention of the rate we were promised on the phone. We payed begrudgingly but safe to say I'll never be back. Who knows how much they will decide to charge us.”

  “We received 2 carvery vouchers as a gift and what a gift it was! There were 4 adults in our party of fussy eaters and all of us found it extremely easy to choose options that we could eat. The beef, turkey and ham fell apart in your mouth. There were plenty of salads and vegetable side dishes. I loved the cauliflower cheese and the quinoa salad and one of my sons raved about the Caesar salad. The dessert section was fabulous. It’s been a while since I’ve had a well made tiramisu and this one was perfect. My husband adored the banoffee. We finished with coffees and then waddled to the car, extremely happy. Worth every penny.”

  “Called in for a quick bite as we had been on the road about 3hrs. At reception we were offered a choice of restaurant or carvery - we opted for the latter. There wasn't a choice of bar food, which we would be accustomed to while travelling. Food was just being set up, ready for customers to self service. Room was empty at this early stage of the evening. Gentleman in charge was very courteous and helpful. Chef was a nice man. It was 3 course with choices. While we enjoyed our food, as carveries go, it is overpriced at £35 per head- pretty close to 'a la carte' prices. However we were happy and were treated well.”

  “Four of us went here Easter 🐣 Tuesday as we were out a drive. It's an absolutely stunning place to look at with a gorgeous water fountain ⛲️ and beautiful grounds. A lot of people have their wedding's here and today was no exception it was packed with wedding guests. We went into the carvery, and an oriental girl got us sorted she was an amazing host, and nothing was too much for her. No atmosphere ended off.....I thought the food wasn't as nice as it used to be the cocktail sauages tasted like fairy liquid and the ribs really hard oh and they're still serving you. The main course was a slice of roast beef, a roast potato, it was like a rock. So desserts 🍨 absolutely 💯 gorgeous jam sponge with custard 🍮 and pavlova 😋😋”

  “Went yesterday to the carvery with my daughter, son and granddaughter. Firstly the two wonderful chefs couldn’t do enough for us while serving our food. They were both friendly and extremely courteous, bent over backwards for us! Have never experienced that kind of service ever! The lady waitress was wonderful really helpful. The food was delicious and amazing! Keep it up and we will certainly be returning again!! Wonderful staff! Amazing food 🥘”
