Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the fish, describing it as crispy, well cooked and not doughy, with a smoked haddock supper and a sausage supper lunch special with curry sauce also getting praise. Close behind come the generous portions, the house made tartar sauce and a curry sauce one diner calls really good for dipping. A gluten-free Celiac Thursday, with chicken gougans, chips and gravy, is described as something no other chippy in the area does, and one reviewer rates the pepper chicken burger special highly. Staff are called lovely and kind, and service is described as quick. Value is the recurring complaint. Two reviewers say the fish supper box was smaller and the price higher than elsewhere, one describes a handful of chips and barely battered sausages for almost £8 with a dine-in service charge they hadn't seen on the menu, and another calls it a bit pricey. One reviewer even lets a toddler use the restroom, a kindness they mention in their praise.

“It was just okay, no better than any other chippy, but what I did notice was the size of the fish supper box, which was significantly smaller, and the price, so much higher.”

“This place came highly recommended and has won an award for "Best fish & chips in Northern Ireland. I would personally rate it as pretty good. I've definitely had better chips in NI and the fish was decent. The portions were significant and I like that they had a house made tartar sauce. They also make a curry sauce which is really good for dipping fries. Service was quick and no nonsense.”

“The price does not match the portions, and unfortunately not in the way one would like. Handful of chips and barely battered sausages for almost £8. Didn't see on the menu that there was a service charge added on for dining in; however i could have missed it, but the price came to shockingly more than i had calculated.”
