  “Really lovely restaurant with outdoor and indoor seating. Came on a Sunday afternoon and were seated straight away. Had super lovely and attentive service. Vegan and GF menus are available. Food took a little while to come out but definitely worth the wait. Portions are large and excellent dishes. I had the Tabbouleh salad and added sea bass and it was delicious and light, but filling. We also ordered the vegan burger, parmesan salmon fillet and the sea bass main and all really enjoyed their dishes. Would recommend.”

  “We celebrated our wedding lunch here yesterday and everything was outstanding. Upon arrival the table and surrounding area had been decorated especially for us, which was a complete and amazing surprise. The staff were wonderful throughout - very kind and attentive. The food was unbelievably tasty, as were the cocktails. Honestly - it was the perfect lunch and we were so pleased. Thanks so much for making our day even more special! Would highly recommend visiting for any occasion - we can’t wait to come back in years to come :)”

  “Very convenient location, located beautifully just next to the river. Walking distance from the city center and public car parks. Since it was nice sunny weather, we chose to sit outside. Interiors are well decorated and also it has clean toilets. Staff is friendly and quick to support. Service was quick. We had four cheese pizza and garlic bread. Food was very tasty and served piping hot. Highly recommend the place.”

  “Good food, nice size and hot. Nice drinks with various choices. Nice location with good environment just next to River Wye. Just few steps next to Bakewell Bridge Car Park, if full can park at Smith's Isand Car Park just 1 minute walk. If your puppy is active and curious, better sit at outside area.”

  “Stunning pub. Very clean and tidy. Fire and flowers are a nice touch. The waitress was very bubbly and lovely. We had 2 of the beef brisket burgers and they did not disappoint. Nice size, delicious and hot. Well done Woodyard. We will return again!”

  “We were visiting Bakewell from the USA for the first time. We were recommended to eat here from a local. A quick beautiful walk and the restaurant was close to the center of town. The staff were friendly and very kind. We ordered several drinks- every single one was so delicious. The P***star martini and the eggnog was quite literally the best versions of the drinks I’ve ever had (and I don’t like eggnog). The portions were huge and all the food came quickly. For appetizers we got the chicken liver parfait (very good- a novelty for an American) and a soup. For mains we got the fish and chips, the mushroom pie, a steak and ham pie, and a seasonal Christmas panini. Everything was so great- we were so full. After a while we ordered more drinks and a dessert. Would definitely recommend here and would come again!”

  “We came here to celebrate our anniversary and there were 6 of us with 2 vegans and 1 gluten-free and really happy that the Woodyard was able to cater all of our needs. We ordered three mushroom risottos with one vegan & gluten free and we all enjoyed it! The risotto was really tasty and rich, the portion size was generous and very filling. By the way I had the asparagus, spinach and pea risotto (not on the menu anymore) when I visited here for the first time last year and it was amazing too! We also ordered two different burgers (Woodyard classic & pulled pork) and a vegan pizza, they were all delicious! I enjoyed my cheesecake as dessert which was beautifully presented and the ice creams, and vegan chocolate fudge cake were good too. Overall we were really happy with the food they offered. In terms of services, the staff was very attentive and friendly. They took our orders very detailed and double checking to make sure everything was right. One of them help took some group photos of us when spotted that we were taking selfies and struggled to fill 6 people in which was really kind - sometimes these small details can really touch you, especially how British people don’t usually like asking for help 🤣 Overall we really enjoyed our experience in Woodyard and would definitely recommend to anyone who visit Bakewell/Peak District to go!”
