  “Birthday dinner, last night the service was second to none I had the steak special, my wife had a fabulous burger. I wish I had said at the time, my steak was so very over salted, that l took most of it home in an effort to remove some of the salt content. Overall a very enjoyable evening and we will return.”

  “Me and the Husband went to eat here for the first time ever and WOW it did not disappoint. After 3 years of my husband saying we need ti eat there and finaly following there facebook page this year, my eyes fell in love with the food and we couldn't wait to finaly have a day off together to eat here. When we arived the place was lovely quite warm and welcoming, we had our seat and the server was up fast with a fresh jug or ice water with a slice of lemon in it, while handing us the menues and giving us a little time to look over everything and the mid week special. When she came back over the midweek special being the tomahawk steak (1.2kg) sounds like a steal and we opted in for almost every side (only thing we didnt want was tomato's) we also chose to have starters because gi big or go home. The starters was phenomenal, I had the rost lamb and my husband had the wood pigeon. Both cook perfectly all the flavours balanced and complemented each other. Was the perfect start to the meal and had us ready for the main. The main arived and funny as it was to have all that on a table for 2 it worked rather well. We found the Tomahawk steak cooked just to how we asked it med/rear, the sides where another thing. We opted for the Mac n Cheese which was fantastic, the cauliflower and cheese equaly as good. We had the cheese bread which was nice to soke up some things and cut the proten. The mushrooms were surprisingly top 3 for me in flavour and im not to fond of mushrooms, the other suprise was the red cabbage, this was sweete almost jam like in taste and with the meat was just to die for. The sauces pepacorn and garlic butter was great. Though spoiler alert once you have there peppercorn sauce nothing will ever be as good. The hand cut chips were good, my husband says its the best he ever bad. But we both agreed that the mash was just that mash nothing to wow about it. The last side but one we didnt think would matter was langoustine, this just helped elevate the flavours of the full dish by giving a bit more to the full thing. After all of the week did go for a desert, which i will say the selection is a bit odd. We opted for the carrot cake and I dont think it is carrot cake but the lemon sorbet was so refreshing after everything, the cake had a lovely texture and the iceing i was left to be desired. But over all the dester didnt disappoint it just left you wanting more from it.”

  “We went here on 14th November 2025. I had Scallops and my wife had Beetroot Arancini. For our main we had the Chateaubriand with Fries and Onion Rings, pink pepper sauce and prawns in garlic butter. THIS WAS PROBABLY THE BEST STEAK MEAL WE HAVE EVER HAD! KUDOS TO THE CHEFS! The atmosphere in here is very relaxed and the service from all, especially Brogan and Jessica, was impeccable, they went above and beyond to ensure we had a great night, and we did, so thank you to them. Question!! Why don't you have a proper website where I can scan all the menus???”

  “We go here at least once a year, typically for my wife’s birthday but also go various other times. We have always loved this place, expensive, but worth it!! Our most recent visit was unfortunately less than the usual quality. Our shared chateaubriand was good, meat got cold quite fast. The chunky fries dipped in the peppercorn sauce were mind blowing. And for us we usually describe the deserts as “sublime” it’s usually a 5 star visit for us. The soufflé are usually out of this world… this time we waited an extra long time for this pumpkin spiced version, I had the carrot cake, both were a huge let down, the carrot cake was like a vanilla sponge, with tiny flecks of carrot through it and it was bone dry. The soufflé had no hint of pumpkin spice, the egg taste overpowered everything. My biggest apology to Drunken Coo for not having given previous 5 star reviews as they were justified!! But I’m on a review session tonight and decided to add this one! Sorry guys but it was a let down this time and my wife requested to change her annual birthday dinner to somewhere else from now on. Not saying we don’t be back, just not for such a special occasion.”
