About Fego Restaurant Ascot

Fego Restaurant Ascot is a cafe in Ascot where dogs are welcome, so owners can bring their pets along when they stop in for a meal. The breakfast and brunch menu includes a ranchero bowl served in cast iron, and an English breakfast that comes with smashed potatoes, alongside a mini-English breakfast. The non-breakfast menu adds a paneer and lentil curry bowl for those who want something other than eggs and toast. The team also makes fresh juice on site.

Customer Review Summary

Brunch is the main draw, with reviewers singling out the Ranchero bowl, the Full Mediterranean, chicken and waffles, and an English breakfast whose smashed potatoes one diner had never seen before. Close behind are the shakes, with the Oreo shake praised and the chocolate one called richer and thicker, plus fresh juice made on site. A few who stayed past breakfast point to the paneer and lentil curry bowl and the sticky toffee pudding. Portions look modest but several say they leave full, and the menu is described as having something for everyone, including dietary needs and children's pancakes. Staff are repeatedly called friendly and welcoming, and some mention dogs being welcome. The criticisms are specific: one brunch diner found the poached eggs on avocado toast overdone and lukewarm and the larger orange juice poor, and another regretted the Ranchero not arriving in a cast iron dish as at the Marlow branch. One group was given three free pastries.

“Okay It’s Been awhile so I've been Going Here a few times By Myself Sometimes for breakfast first thing in the morning or for lunch and recently I’ve had a good experience I thought I would update my review I know the New person in charge or manager is very friendly very welcoming And and few of the staff members are very friendly too, but at the end of the day everyone is not often do this but there is one member of staff who has always looked after me with my same coffee order I always want to say thank you and a very nice person. I’m not gonna say any names because I’m not sure she just seems very nice always has a smile but I think she might be Spanish or some sort and has a very interesting accent that’s the sort of people I like very friendly 🤗”

“Stunning location and amazing service, was greeted in by Tlias and he was so lovely. Beautiful seat in the sun with a delicious breakfast. He regularly checked in and made sure everything was all okay, having a chat and a laugh making the experience all the more enjoyable”

“Great restaurant. Lots of selection on the menu. Staff are super friendly and welcoming. Only sad thing is the 'ranchero' is not served in the nice cast iron plate / bowl like the Marlow branch. It really does make the difference with the eating experience... Aside from that, taste is always unmatched.”

“Just got back from an evening networking event run at Fego in conjunction with my networking group BNI Ascot. The welcome from the Fego staff was warm and friendly and the food wow wow wow. The paneer and lentil curry bowl was packed full of flavour and the sticky toffee pudding was 5*. I’d only been there for breakfast before but will definitely go back to try the non breakfast menu!”

“The food here is good and not overly expensive considering you are on Ascot High Street. We had brunch food arrived in a reasonable time, I had ordered the avocado toast with poached eggs and a side of smoked salmon and it was tasty although looked lonely on the plate but the poached eggs were over done and Luke warm which was a disappointment and a failing. My son had the breakfast stack which was plentiful and tasty. I also ordered a larger orange juice which was very underwhelming, frankly poor. Overall it was good and I would go back be interested to try the lunch but Im not rushing back.”
