Customer Review Summary
Cocktails draw the most praise, with a bartender who asked what guests liked and made recommendations. Close behind are the steak, the beef sharing board cooked in front of diners, and a red wine jus one reviewer wanted to drink. One reviewer found staff stand-offish, the chicken wings overpriced, and was reminded how long they had the table despite it being empty.

“We had the joy of visiting Lanty Slees during our short break in Ambleside this week and wow, it was amazing!! The food was phenomenal, we had burnt ends and chicken wings for starters which were absolutely delicious and then the beef sharing board for main. It was genuinely some of the best steak we've ever had, cooked to perfection and the bone marrow mash cottage pie was amazing. It was all cooked infront of us which was a very nice touch. Special shout out to Joseph who made our cocktails, they were absolutely delicious. Again, some of the best cocktails we've had. He took the time to find out what we liked and gave amazing recommendations. He is clearly a very knowledgeable mixoligist with a lots of experience. Could not fault anything and would love to return.”

“we visited saturday afternoon. there was little to no atmosphere, however, the chicken wings we ordered were beautiful but incredibly overpriced for what they were. felt like the staff were very stand-offish, very quickly reminded of how long we had the table despite it being empty, just felt like that added pressure to hurry up n go within the first 10 mins of us being there. i’m sure this is lovely at it’s peak but we were very underwhelmed and disappointed. we would have stayed had the customer service been a little better . sorry to leave a negative review, but this is our honest thoughts”

“As an Irish person living in the South Lakes, I am a notoriously harsh critic of the hospitality in the local area. What a breath of fresh air to encounter the team at Lanty Slees tonight! Suzana welcomed us with the warmth and charismatic presence of an old friend; Joseph showed meticulous attention to detail with the sensational cocktails we enjoyed; while the chef team served us delicious food that was genuinely parelelled to Michelin star levels of cuisine we have enjoyed elsewhere. I cannot recommend highly enough!”
