“This is the fourth time I’ve been and still the food is outstanding. I love this place”

“Absolutely delicious food and such a beautiful restaurant. We had the beetroot and mushroom starters, then the cashew nut roast and celeriac & truffle mains. It was one of the best meals I’ve ever eaten, topped only by a meal from a michelin starred restaurant. Such good value for money. The staff were warm and attentive and couldn’t do more for us. I wish we’d had room for dessert. We will be back!”

“Mind-blowingly amazing! I booked a weekend in Ambleside for my wife’s birthday, and we chose this restaurant because we have a special connection to its owners. We used to come to college in Ambleside and often visited their original restaurant more than 20 years ago, so we were looking forward to a little trip down memory lane. This sister restaurant is a brilliant concept: a vegetarian and vegan restaurant on the ground floor, with a studio-style cinema upstairs. Book a meal and they’ll reserve seats for you to watch that evening’s film too. My wife is vegetarian and I’m not, so finding somewhere that suits us both can sometimes be a challenge. Here, though, I was completely blown away by the food. The quality, creativity and flavour were outstanding. I still can’t quite get my head around how the chef made one of the dishes—cauliflower cooked six ways—so delicious, or even remember all six ways it was prepared! If you’re in Ambleside, I’d highly recommend booking the meal-and-cinema experience. My wife and I have eaten at several Michelin-starred restaurants, and I can honestly say this meal was better than the one at the Michelin-starred restaurant just a couple of hundred metres up the road. We’re already planning another visit in a few months and will definitely be coming back for dinner.”

“Beautiful veggie food. So happy we came. Would recommend this place to anyone. Lost a star on atmosphere only because we went early when it was quiet.”
