About The Unicorn Ambleside
The Unicorn Ambleside is a pub on North Rd in Ambleside that pairs live entertainment with rooms upstairs, so guests can stay overnight in the same building where they drink and eat. The food menu covers pub dishes, with pie among them, and the bar serves beers and ales, including a stout. The pub was refurbished in February and the bar was relocated, while the traditional pub feel and original character were kept. It operates as an inn and a live music bar as well as a restaurant. Dogs are welcome.

“My favourite bolt hole for when heading out onto the fells near Ambleside. Newly refurbished rooms which are comfortable and clean with a nice pub downstairs and lovely people :)”

“Amazing pub! Would 100% visit again and recommend to anyone visiting Ambleside! The staff are all so helpful and friendly. We had a member in our group with an allium allergy and they were so accommodating and helpful in selecting food they could eat. The dishes were delicious and hearty, perfect for a chilly evening. They also had a great stout, Pimms and selection of many other drinks. It was such a bonus to be able to play some board games too. Chris, who ran the Monday night Pub quiz, was fantastic and great fun. It’s £1 per person to enter and has 6 fun rounds with prizes for the top 3 teams. The atmosphere was warm and vibrant and we will certainly be back next time we are in the area. Thanks so much!”
