Customer Review Summary
Diners consistently highlight the duck and steak with bone marrow as the standout dishes, with several calling the bone marrow and steak combination life-changing and the duck à l'orange generous and well paired. Crème brûlée comes up repeatedly as a dessert favorite, described as a perfect ending often paired with passionfruit sorbet. The foie gras earns praise for its tender, springy, almost pudding-like texture, and the fish dishes, including sliced tuna and a fish with buttery mousse, are singled out for freshness and silky texture. Service is frequently described as excellent and professional, with staff offering knowledgeable food and wine recommendations, and some diners mention thoughtful birthday surprises from the kitchen. A few reviewers note that certain dishes can feel heavy or overly rich, including the os à moelle and the pike quenelle, and one diner found the seasoning on the salty side. One review describes slow pacing during the meal, and another expresses disappointment that the tuna and lobster did not meet expectations. Several suggest booking ahead, with one diner recommending a month in advance for a relaxed reservation experience.

“We visited Le Coucou for dinner. Getting a reservation was fairly easy — booking about a month ahead on the reservation platform was pretty relaxed, no real struggle. The foie gras was very good — tender and springy, but not in a dense, creamy way. It had an almost pudding-like texture, which was unexpected and quite nice. The duck à l’orange was another highlight — a generous portion, and the orange paired really nicely with the duck. The beef was also well done, nicely tender. Service was fine, nothing to complain about. Prices are on the slightly expensive side. The seasoning here is on the heavier side — some people find it too salty, but for us it was fine, and it actually paired really well with wine. Overall a solid one-star French dinner. Worth a visit if you’re in the area.”
