About Hole In The Wall - FiDi

Hole In The Wall - FiDi is an Australian breakfast and brunch restaurant, cafe, and lounge bar at 15 Cliff St in New York. Much of its identity comes from a daytime-to-evening format that moves from breakfast and coffee service into a lounge bar setting. The Hitw Breakfast Burrito is a popular main, and the Fried Chicken Sandwich with Salad appears on the mains menu alongside it. The Espresso Martini is a popular item as well. Reservations are advised for weekend brunch, when the format draws a steady flow of guests for both meals and drinks.

Customer Review Summary

Diners consistently praise the generous, well-executed brunch dishes, with the pulled pork Benedict, avocado toast, and mushroom toast singled out as standouts among frequently shared plates. The coffee earns repeated praise as well, including iced lattes, Nutella lattes, and turmeric lattes, with several noting dairy-free milk and gluten-free options available. The atmosphere draws consistent compliments for its warm, open feel, with plants, lights, and an open kitchen, and the outdoor seating is a favorite in nice weather. Service is described as friendly and efficient, with one server going out of his way to open outdoor space early for a couple dining with their newborn. A few reviewers note that arriving early helps avoid waiting in line, and one cautions that the Cuban sandwich is actually pulled pork, not a traditional Cuban, which disappointed them enough to plan ordering differently on a return visit.

Came here for Saturday brunch at noon and waited around 20 min for a party of 2. The food here is delicious and portions are great - we shared the mushroom toast and avocado toast and left so full. Service is decent and efficient, and …

Excellent food and excellent service. I had the cheese omelette with maple slab bacon - generous portion and delicious - the sambal sauce was really unique. My wife had the breakfast sandwich with avocado which was excellent. Of particular note is Ben the server, who helpfully opened the outdoor space a little early so we could dine outside with our 2 week old. We will definitely be back to try more of the menu.

We went for breakfast and were honestly surprised. The portions are huge and incredibly generous. Perfectly cooked eggs, delicious smoked salmon, and excellent coffee. We loved that they were happy to accommodate changes — such a plus. It’s an amazing spot for a full, satisfying, and delicious breakfast. The service was super attentive as well. Highly recommended! ☕🍳

Perfectly seasoned, delicious food. I got the pomodoro bowl and my husband got the salmon toast. Both were excellent. Sausage link was tasty. The marinated feta on the pomodoro bowl? 🤤
