Cafecito Organico Silver Lake is an espresso bar and coffee roastery in Los Angeles, serving espresso drinks and coffee made with organic, fair-trade beans. As an outpost of a small chain, its identity is rooted in sourcing, with the coffee program built around organic, fair-trade beans prepared as espresso drinks and brewed coffee. Customer Review Summary

The patio is the single most consistently praised feature, with multiple reviewers describing it as a tranquil, plant-filled retreat with ample shaded seating, a water station, outlets, and shelter from sun or rain. Diners also highlight the coffee variety sourced from different countries, and several call out the turkey sandwich made on croissant bread and the quiche as satisfying options, though one reviewer found the quiche a little too salty from the generous ham. A recurring complaint centers on one long-haired barista, who is repeatedly described as rude and dismissive across several reviews, with one reviewer recounting being told to buy something before sitting and another describing a dismissive response to a menu question. One reviewer notes that the rest of the staff is friendly and works quickly, and another mentions a perfect half-decaf latte.

Awesome staff, never rude - tall long haired barista seems very strong. Yet his real strength is his strength of character. Something one cannot measure. Something one cannot quantify. Much like the changing of summer to autumn, one’s morality is appraised by an amalgamation of singular events - leaves changing from green to brown, stone fruit falling from the apricot tree, wrinkled from the blistering sun. One’s character is not defined by a cup of half and half, but by their stewardship in the community. And if there’s one thing I value about my community, it’s community. And if there’s one thing I love about my community - it’s its strength. And if there’s one thing I know about strength. It’s that I have it. And if there’s one other thing I know about strength, it’s that the tall barista has it too, probably more, or maybe just in a different way. Much like the loquats on Tulorosa Drive, we all wither and rot eventually. Is that neglect? Or is that just friendship? Some say both. I say, “two large iced Americanos please”

Decent drinks, nice ambiance. Have had inconsistent results with their Chai latte though. My Last time visiting here was today after I was failed to be given a proper greeting by the white guy with long hair. Took that rude gesture as my sign to avoid purchasing anything and left instead.

It's truly baffling when someone in a customer-facing role - like the long, curly-haired guy barista at this coffee shop - decides to project their unhappiness and animosity onto customers who simply want coffee. I was really looking forward to visiting this café, but unfortunately the experience fell short due to the extremely rude attitude of this barista. I asked if there was anything under $5, as there were no prices shown on their chalkboard menu. Their response was, "What are you broke?" I was completely taken aback. It felt wildly rude and unnecessary, especially for such a harmless question. Feeling uncomfortable, I went to sit down on the patio to look up the menu online on my laptop instead. Before I even had the chance to do that - I was just connecting to their wifi first - they came to my table and rudely told me I need to buy something if I want to sit there. A customer can't even catch a break? At that point, I decided to leave and take my business elsewhere. I understand that people have bad days, wake up on the wrong side of the bed, or may be going through things, and I'm trying give the benefit of the doubt. However, there's no excuse for projecting that kind of attitude onto customers, it's just icky and unprofessional. All this, at a coffee shop? After reading other reviews, it's disappointing but not surprising that to see that multiple people have had similarly rude experiences with this barista. I wish them well.

The long-haired, curly-haired man is EXTREMELY rude. Every interaction feels dismissive, as if customers are inconveniencing him or wasting his time. Today was my third time interacting with him. Such a shame since the rest of the staff is pretty friendly.

Coffee variety is amazing from different countries etc. Food options are good but not amazing. The space is super confortable to work in with confortable seating on an outdoor patio filled with plants and rustic wood. Its beautiful.
