About De La Tierra Café
De La Tierra Café is a coffee shop in Los Angeles, at 1144 N Vermont Ave, with a menu that spans around 30 items. Much of its character comes from a compact food program that pairs with the coffee side, giving visitors a reason to settle in rather than just grab and go. The menu includes a Croissant and a Cajeta, both marked among the more popular dishes, along with a Toasted Bagel with Ham and Cheese. The presence of these items alongside the coffee program supports casual meals and laptop visits throughout the day.

Customer Review Summary
De La Tierra Café draws consistent praise for its specialty lattes, with the Tres Leches Latte singled out repeatedly as one of the best in Los Angeles, and the cajeta and brown sugar cinnamon lattes also earning high marks. Reviewers frequently describe the coffee as strong, perfectly made, and worth a dedicated trip, with several customers driving from Santa Monica or returning weekly. The food earns strong praise as well, with reviewers highlighting the croissants as fresh and perfectly textured, the avocado toast with egg, the breakfast sandwiches, and the Nutella-banana toast. Service is a recurring strength, with multiple reviewers describing the staff as friendly, welcoming, and accommodating, including one instance where a customer received extra loyalty stamps and a larger size after a wallet theft. A few reviewers note the prices run high, with one visit for two people reaching around fifty dollars after tip, and one customer says the cost will keep them from returning despite enjoying the coffee and chocolate concha. A couple of reviewers mention the small kitchen can mean a short wait for food.

“Very expensive for what you're getting. At least the food was mostly good and the service was good. Ordered two 16oz lattes with an extra espresso shot in each, one chocolate concha, and two breakfast bagels. After tip the total was $50 making it $25 per person. The cinnamon brown sugar and cajeta lattes were very good. The chocolate concha, especially when dipped in a hot latte, was delicious. The breakfast bagel was okay, but a little too salty for my taste. Probably won't be back again just because of the price. It's a shame because the coffee and concha were good.”

“The absolute BEST Cafe de olla Iced coffee in the county, & absolutely amazing service. I walked in for my 10th time & asked for a new loyalty card as someone had robbed me a previous day & taken my wallet holding my loyalty card. They gave me multiple stamps on my loyalty card & gave me a bigger size than my order ☹️ amazing people & super grateful to have their cafe in our community!!!!!!!”

“I was accommodated wonderfully! I ordered an iced horchata and they made it half decaf for me which I so greatly appreciated. I had the Nutella-banana toast drizzled with caramel 🤤🤤yum! The service was good, cute shop, cool aesthetic, cool people! 10/10 …”

“This place is a neighborhood gem. The food and drinks are all so good. The staff are kind and lovely, and they play really good music. The kitchen is small and you may have to be a little patient, but wow is the food worth it!”
