About Manuela
Manuela is an American restaurant and bar at 907 E 3rd St in Los Angeles, set inside a rustic-chic arts complex where seasonal menus, cocktails and housegrown ingredients shape the experience. Much of its identity comes from that combination of a working arts setting and a kitchen built around what is grown and produced on site, giving the food a direct link to its own supply. The Cream Biscuits Steen's Butter Col Newsom's Aged Country Ham and the Popover Benedict Sweetheart Ham Poached Egg Hollandaise Greens sit among the most ordered mains, while the Burnt Honey Cake Mascarpone Honey Comb Brittle anchors the dessert side. Reservations are advised for the dining room, and the bar offers a place to eat when tables fill.

Customer Review Summary
Manuela draws consistent praise for its standout cream biscuits with aged country ham and Steen's butter, which diners repeatedly single out as a must-order, alongside the albacore spread and popover benedict. The Arts District setting inside the Hauser & Wirth complex earns frequent admiration for its semi-outdoor, plant-filled space and art-forward atmosphere. Service is a recurring highlight, with multiple reviewers describing a team-based approach where staff anticipate needs without hovering. A few diners, however, report inconsistency, noting a burnt burger bun, underseasoned steak, and a sense that portion sizes do not always match the price point. One reviewer described a frustrating experience trying to modify a reservation by phone, calling repeatedly without reaching anyone.

“Lovely decor with semi-outdoor and indoor space, full bar, and lots of plants and lights. The food is spectacular. Everything we ordered was excellent. Standouts include the cream biscuits from "small & to share" menu, the peads and barnett pork chop and venison burger. Our other two dishes consisting of the butterball potatoes and cast iron cornbread were also noteworthy. This place is definitely up there with Bestia and Bavel. Easily the best meal I've had in 2026 by a mile.”

“Went there for brunch with a family around 11 AM. The atmosphere is quaint and relaxing. However, the quality and the amount of the food does not justify the prices. Our steak was cut with the grain and ham was under seasoned. Our chai was milk with a hint of chai in there. The staff is friendly and attentive but they are clearly overworked and understaffed. I saw my chilaquiles dish bounce around three different tables and the kitchens before making my way to me. It’s not a bad place but it’s evident that something on the management level is getting in the way of it being the place they want you to feel like it is. The corners feel so cut I’m not sure what’s left.”

“I visited Manuela for brunch and ordered the venison burger and the shrimp and rice grits. Both dishes were excellent, with very well-balanced flavors. The venison burger felt surprisingly light and didn’t have any strong or gamey …”

“We were recommended Manuela's by a film producer friend in town, and it did not disappoint. The food, service, and atmosphere were nothing short of superb. We enjoyed our time and look forward to returning very soon. Thank you for making our visit one of the highlights of our trip!”
