“Dropped in off-spec Friday afternoon with my wife; a table for two was no problem. The lady who served us was great, telling us not to worry that the drinks list is mostly sherry but other drinks are available at the back. We enjoyed the bottle of white we ordered. We ordered 5 dishes between us; this was plenty, and we have big appetites. The Iberico pork was excellent, something I've never experienced. Kathryn's chorizo and potatoes had a thick, succulent sauce that we loved. I asked for a recommendation for a glass of sherry (never had one before) and was offered the tasting option: 3 different sherries, paired well with our food, good fun to try. I don't usually want a dessert, but this time I had a baked cheesecake paired with a sweet sherry. This blew my tastebuds and my mind, possibly the best dessert I've ever eaten. Kathryn also enjoyed it, even though she didn't want a dessert. When we asked for the bill, it was explained that there is no obligation to pay the service charge and it can be taken off, no problem. I was more than happy to pay this because we were so well looked after. We will definitely be going again very soon.”
