About Brew York Handley Tap
Brew York Handley Tap is a bar on Outgang Ln, set just off the A64 near York and tucked inside the working brewery that produces its own beers. The taps pour Brew York beers alongside a changing lineup of food from rotating third-party vendors, so the kitchen offering shifts often. Sundays bring free live music from local acts, and dogs are welcome inside. Upstairs, a separate area is available for private events for a small deposit, and board and card games can be borrowed for the evening. Heaters and rugs come out in winter to keep the floor comfortable. Service runs on a walk-in basis, with no reservations taken.

“Nestled in the brewery itself is a great quiet spot for a drink. Rotation of guest catering keeps the food choice dynamic. Not cold in winter with the big heaters and rugs provided. Now with pub games”

“We've always loved coming to the Handley Tap for a relaxed drink or meal with friends. So when we were looking for somewhere to host a party for our friends after our wedding we were really excited when we found out we could book the upstairs area for a small deposit. Bramina and the team were really easy to communicate with, they let us know who the food vendors would be on the dates we were considering and then put us in touch with the vendor who would be there on the day. Overall it was a brilliant experience, the staff were really helpful and the food and drink were excellent.”
