Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the art deco building and its ocean views, calling the setting lovely and beautiful, with an open kitchen and a dog friendly welcome. Food draws praise too: a salmon poke bowl and crying beef both called excellent, salads with protein options described as delicious, and roast beef on a platter for two cooked to perfection. Staff are repeatedly called lovely and accommodating, especially for birthdays, an engagement dinner and a party whose guest numbers changed by phone. The complaints are specific. One diner reports a tomahawk ordered medium arriving medium rare with a lot of blood, truffle mac and cheese without truffle, broccoli turning yellow, a dirty steak knife and a rude manageress. Another found the roast potatoes tasteless. One reviewer mentions a wait to be seated on a Friday and slow food and drink, and another notes a draft from a rear door. One birthday table was brought a celebratory piece of brownie.

“We went to Perch today for my wife's birthday. We bookee ahead and mentioned this is on the booking as well asking to sit upstairs as per previous reviews. On arrival Amelia seated us upstairs as requested and confirmed it was my wife's birthday. We had 3 courses and they were all excellent. My wife also received a celebratory peice of brownie which was a nice touch. The service we received from Amelia was excellent, she really knows how to look after her guests. This was our first visit and we would recommend to our friends. Thanks for a wonderful afternoon!”

“I came here in 2023 and now came back with a friend of mine. We tried booking but didn't manage, it could have been an issue with the system. Emily was really helpful, kind and made sure we got a table and enjoyed our time so we really appreciate the service. The atmosphere is lovely not only due to the tasteful decor of the venue and the delicious food but also because of the amazing ocean views. Can't recommend enough and will come back always!”

“Lovely place and good food. Waiting times to be seated 20min on a Friday. The only downside was that food and drink took a while to come.”

“We had a birthday celebration for my friend last night and her husband flew from Paris to surprise her and it was a success! Anna and Polly were very accommodating and both of them were very sweet. They made sure we have everything we need. I am very delighted with the service. It's top tier! Even if I rang multiple times as there were changes with the number of guests and also informed them that we were running late, the staff were very understanding about it and reassured me that it's no problem. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to my family and friends! Thank you again, Perch on Worthing Pier Restaurant! 🙌🏻”

“Lovely Food, in such a fantastic setting. Salads with proteins options were delicious. Fish and chips looked wonderful ( next visit). Price great for such an idilic setting in art deco splendour. Open kitchen. Just great. Also, all staff lovely. Nothing was too much...well done.”
