About The Boathouse Kitchen and Bar
The Boathouse Kitchen and Bar is a family restaurant at Whisstocks in Woodbridge, where the brunch service pours free flowing prosecco alongside the food and welcomes dogs throughout the space. Inside and out, diners order at the counter and choose where to sit, with seating that spans an indoor room and an outdoor area. During busier stretches a single till handles every order, and queues can stretch while staff work through them. Drinks include sodas and mixers priced the same across the menu. The family restaurant format suits groups stopping in for a long, relaxed meal, with the brunch prosecco service drawing regulars for weekend rounds.

Customer Review Summary
Reviews split sharply: a few diners praise the bottomless brunch, friendly staff, and a pleasant coffee stop, while several describe being ignored at the till, stale pre-made pancakes, and soda water charged as a mixer, with one leaving before ordering. The pattern of poor front-of-house attention is the recurring complaint.

“Just had a very disappointing experience here - visited the Tide Mill Museum and our family of four thought we'd have some lunch. Completely ignored by two members of staff at the till, both of whom were grinding coffee for the limited number of customers sitting outside, there being none at all sitting in the dining room. We were advised that we'd be served shortly and the staff member who said that disappeared and when she came back wouldn't catch our eye. We remained standing at the till for another couple of minutes and kept being ignored so we left thinking how daft are they having just preferred selling coffee to the £100 or so we would have spent. We are a local family and will never return.”

“Rip-off merchants, tried to charge my wife £3.50 for soda water in a small gin ….. apparently soda water is classed the same as a mixer! 🤔”
