  “Vey sterile and stark restaurant. Food was very bland. Chicken Schezuan was sweet and not spicy. Singapore Chow Mein was bland and lacked flavor. The chicken curry (available on the take-out menu, but not on the restaurant menu) was the tastiest dish. The Egg fried rice was again bland and had no seasoning or soy sauce. Won't be going back or getting take-out.”

  “Ah, Minh’s of Tettenhall, where culinary expectations go for a quiet, unceremonious death. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by staff who seem only partially present, as though enthusiasm was an optional add-on they wisely declined. The décor? Think “minimalist,” if minimalism meant stripping away not just style, but also warmth, personality, and any reason to stay. Then comes the food, a truly unforgettable experience, mostly because we’re still trying to understand how something can taste like absolutely nothing. The Szechuan chicken was a particular highlight, boldly reinventing the concept by removing any trace of Szechuan pepper and replacing it with what can only be described as a confused sweet-and-sour identity crisis. Groundbreaking, really. Portions were impressively small, perfect if you’re not especially hungry or enjoy leaving meals vaguely dissatisfied. The Singapore chow mein followed suit, delivering all the excitement of plain noodles with a whisper of seasoning that may have passed by at some point. And just to keep things interesting, the sit-down menu plays a fun little game of “guess what you can’t order,” offering fewer choices than the takeaway menu, because who doesn’t love less variety when dining in? Atmosphere? None to speak of, unless you count the lingering sense of regret. All in all, a masterclass in how to lower expectations and still somehow miss the mark.”

  “Been coming for years, always consistent, very tasty food, great service and super facilitating to requests. Highly recommended restaurant! Very surprised at some of the lower star reviews, me and the wife love it at Minhs.”

  “So disappointed with this place after such a long time we ordered a takeaway. Told it would take 15mins but took 25 mins. I wouldn’t have minded if it was hot but when we got home 8mins away food was cold. The sweet and sour Sauce tub was barely half full and the chow main was dry. The shredded chillie chicken was all batter and 10% chicken. The ribs were so fatty and in small pieces. We have had good from here for years. But this was by far the worst experience and will result in never ordering here again.”

  “I love Chinese food. My order was Hot and Sour soup. How weird more like sweet and sour soup. King prawn with noodles was OK but a little greasy. My main dish was a disaster Pan fried fish in soy sauce with spring onion. Looked great but …”
