Customer Review Summary
Breakfast is what reviewers return to Cafe Avenue for, with the kids build your own breakfast and the belly filling plates of thick sliced soft bread with generous fillings mentioned most. Close behind is the friendly staff, described repeatedly as welcoming and cheerful even when the cafe was very busy. Diners also point to the wide menu across breakfast, lunch and snacks, gluten free options, and prices they call reasonable and very good. One reviewer enjoyed a banana and toffee combo sundae from the recently opened ice cream parlour, and another came for a mothers day afternoon tea of freshly made sandwiches and a pot of tea. Several note food arriving quickly, with one saying within five minutes of ordering. Parents mention a small role play area at the back for children. No recurring complaints appear in the reviews. One family recalls a server handing over a free bottle of water when food went down the wrong way and prompted a coughing fit.

“Cafe avenue is truly a hidden gem. The food is excellent and there is plenty of it. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the cafe had a great atmosphere. There is plenty to choose from on the menu no matter what time of day you go. If your in the area then pop in for a good meal”

“Lovely little cafe. We came here with our son on bank holiday, the boys were really friendly and accommodating (including giving me a free bottle of water when my food went down the wrong way and I was coughing the cafe down...🙈). Breakfasts were lovely, the kids build your own breakfast is great value and our little boy loved it, they also have a little role play area for kids round the corner at the back which is perfect if you want a peaceful breakfast with kids in tow. Would recommend”
