The Glasshouse is a glass-walled restaurant on Lavershot Barn in Windlesham, with an open kitchen view from some tables. It serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, and the lunch menu runs from starters and mains to ice cream desserts. Breakfast includes a full English with an option to upgrade to sourdough toast. Korean fried chicken and waffles and pork belly with crackling and a croqueta are also on the menu. The bar team runs a wine and cocktail list alongside the food. Mini golf outside is available after lunch, and a private dining room serves groups. Reservations are required in advance, and walk-ins are not taken.

Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often praise the bright, relaxed setting and the friendly, attentive staff, who in one account moved a table that was too sunny. Food draws mixed reactions. Praised dishes include the pork belly with crackling and a croqueta, scallops with chicken liver parfait, fish and chips, padron peppers, Korean fried chicken and waffles, and a breakfast of crispy bacon, avocado and a warm croissant. Others found the lamb slightly chewy, the chicken wrap dry and tough, or the food alright but not remarkable. The sharpest complaint describes a bland crab and crayfish terrine with no crab taste, a chicken schnitzel in a bun sold as a panko burger, soggy fries not made on site, and a service charge applied before a gift voucher was deducted. Several note that booking ahead is needed. One birthday party was surprised with a truffle from the manager.

“Full English £15 and £1 extra to upgrade to sour dough toast. Little bit on the steep side however the quality was good. Make sure you book otherwise you could be waiting 20/30 mins for a table. Would go for a special occasion if required and can only speak for the breakfast and not the main menu.”

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Had a lovely lunch at The Glasshouse today and we’ll definitely be back. The setting is absolutely beautiful, such a bright, stylish restaurant in gorgeous surroundings, making it a really relaxing place to spend a couple of hours. The food was excellent. Everything we ordered was fresh, beautifully presented and full of flavour (the best padron peppers we’ve had in the UK!), and the service was fantastic from start to finish. The staff were friendly, attentive and made us feel really welcome without being overbearing. After lunch we had a round of mini golf outside, which was a really fun addition and made the whole visit feel like more than just a meal out. It’s a great place whether you’re looking for lunch, a special occasion or just somewhere a bit different to spend an afternoon. Big fans already and can’t wait to come back!”

“We went to The Glasshouse for a special occasion which was a birthday and got the most amazing service! The manager Poppy was absolutely incredible and tended to our every need - giving us recommendations, checking if we were ok and also sorting a birthday surprise truffle! We really enjoyed the food and the ambience and decor was beautiful inside, although we say outdoors and loved that too. Thank you for making the event really special for us! 😊”

“had a wonderful experience at Glasshouse Caffee. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and beautifully maintained, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a coffee. The staff were friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service from start to finish. The food and drinks were fresh, delicious, and presented with great care. The coffee was especially impressive—rich, smooth, and expertly prepared. It’s clear that a lot of attention goes into both the quality of the menu and the overall customer experience. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick drink, a meal with friends, or a quiet place to work, Glasshouse Caffee is a fantastic choice. I highly recommend it and will definitely be returning.”
