  “Good food. Very tasty and came quite quickly. As well as sea food, there were 3 different steaks available on the blackboard. Music in the background, but it wasn't too loud.”

  “Thanks so much to the whole team at 1 Whitstable for a brilliant evening. We were a group of 24 and took over the whole restaurant. From the first point of contact they couldn't have been more helpful. They put together a bespoke menu for us, catering for dietary requirements, moved the whole restaurant around, and were wonderful as we sang, danced, and were generally very loud! The service was excellent and we felt so well looked after. Thank you!!”

  “Visited on a fairly busy sunny day, but there were plenty of tables free and the atmosphere was very relaxed. Struggled deciding on what to order but really glad I made the choice I did - hands down the best Eggs Florentine I’ve ever had. Beautifully cooked spinach; perfectly cooked poached egg and the most incredible hollandaise I’ve ever tasted. I’m used to the sauce being creamy and not tasting of much, but this was closer to rich, more liquid, maybe clarified butter? Really, really buttery, and seasoned to perfection. I could feel the calories sticking to my thighs as I devoured each mouthful. It was served lovey and hot too, and it was on other the dish was cooked fresh from scratch. Because of that there was a slight wait for it to arrive but I wasn’t in a rush. Amazing!”

  “Came in for brunch and it’s absolutely delish ! Highly recommended the full veggie breakfast, the homemade hash browns and beans are sooooo yummy, bread was great as well and you get your eggs how you like them !Lovely staff !!! Defo coming back to try more food”

  “We’ve been Whitstable many times, but this was our first visit No.1 Whitstable and it definitely won’t be the last. The fresh seafood was amazing, especially the mussels, so delicious we couldn’t stop eating them. The service was excellent, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and everything felt relaxed and enjoyable. Definitely coming back again. This restaurant is a hidden gem in Whitstable.”

  “Great evening meal. Lovely location. Nice atmosphere and great staff. Food - just excellent. Seared sword fish and the mussels between the two of us. Ultra dog friendly.”

  “No 1 looks a bit like a café from a casual glance, but don't be fooled, the food was top notch. I had the chicken supreme and it was excellent, and loads of chicken, too. Everything freshly cooked so allow yourself some time. Service was relaxed and friendly. I'd definitely go back.”

  “We ate here twice over the weekend at a family of 4 for two kids; breakfast and Sunday lunch. The food was incredible, atmosphere relaxed and staff so welcoming and great with the kids. Highly recommend!!!”

  “Pre-booked a table for 2 for a romantic evening and it did not disappoint. On arrival aimee greeted us with a lovely welcoming smile and showed us to our table. Everything we ordered was on recommendation from aimee from the delicious rhubarb starter to the perfectly cooked swordfish main and the divine raspberry parfait with pistachio ice cream desert. Every dish was a delight, service was outstanding and the ambience and atmosphere was perfect. Cannot wait for our next visit.”
