  “The food is amazing in a beautiful setting. It is the best meal I’ve had in the UK in the 8 months I have been living here. The only downside was we dined during a heatwave and there was no air con or fans in the building. It was so hot.”

  “This is a really cute restaurant. My husband thought the sole was the best he ever had but I personally didn’t find it to my liking. I ordered the beef shin ragu and felt it was too rich, but my husband also liked it. I enjoyed their beef salad. We also ordered a side salad but I didn’t like their Dijonaise (which is a mix of Dijon mustards and mayonnaise). Service was somewhat mediocre, staff was polite but it took forever to get anyone’s attention because there were tables all on the other side of the restaurant so just to get our check we were waiting a significant amount of time.”

  “Good food and atmosphere. We visited for my wife’s birthday and had mentioned this in our reservation, but unfortunately none of our notes appeared to have been read or acknowledged. Even a small candle with dessert would have been a nice touch. Service was also a bit slow. Overall, we enjoyed the meal, but attention to customer requests could be improved.”

  “This place is my friend and I first stop for a short trip in Canterbury. I quite impressed with the market and found this restaurant inside. The food is great but quite expensive as it may be direct from the farm or organic? But it’s fresh and testy. The staffs are nice as well.”

  “Absolutely loved our visit to The Goods Shed in Canterbury! The food was incredible — every dish was packed with flavour and clearly made with care. Such a lovely atmosphere too, and even better that it’s dog friendly, which made the whole experience even more relaxed and enjoyable for us. 🐶 A special shoutout to Ffion, who made our visit extra special. She was so warm, welcoming, and genuinely polite from the moment we arrived. You can tell she really cares about the customers and it made such a difference to our experience. Thanks a lot, FFION — you’re amazing! Amazing food, fantastic service, great vibes… 100% recommend and can’t wait to come back!”

  “My fiancée and I absolutely love The Goods Shed! We’ve been a few times now and it’s never disappointed. The food is always the most delicious we’ve had, the atmosphere is beautiful and the people working there are just the nicest! We couldn’t recommend this place enough and always look forward to visiting.”

  “The Goods Shed in Canterbury is a fantastic place with such a great atmosphere. I first visited during the day market and picked up some delicious chilli jam, which was a real highlight. Later, I came back for dinner and was blown away by the food – amazing fish, beautifully cooked venison, and a sumptuous sticky toffee pudding to finish. The cocktails were excellent too. It’s lovely to experience both sides of the place, from the vibrant market to the relaxed restaurant. A real gem and well worth visiting.”

  “It was the best surprise in Canterbury. In an upper wing of the organic produce market, there is an excellent restaurant. From the moment we arrived, they were extremely attentive and helpful. The kitchen is semi-open, so you can watch the chef and his team at work. My husband and I opted for fish, different types and preparations, but both were delicious. Creamy, fresh, naturally made with organic, top-quality ingredients. For dessert, we ordered the crumble, and honestly, it was one of the most delicious crumbles I have ever tasted, and the cream was delicious. They have an excellent wine and whisky list. I definitely recommend it, and in fact, I hope to return soon.”
