  “Superb dinning experience in Canterbury. Tomato soup probably one of the best I had. Tempura Prawns perfect. Smoked Haddock Salmon Fishcake, absolutely delicious. The Minute Steak (slightly over cooked) and Peppercorn Sauce (Beautifully made and packed a Punch. Tasty Fries, an impressive wine list, and attentive service. A perfect Lunch. Bottom Line £100 plus for 2 with wine and Sparkling Water.”

  “As an operator it never ceases to amaze me that everytime I visit an Ivy, it’s like there has been no cost headwinds like everyone else has had to cut back on. Greeted by 2 hostesses (delightful by the way), staff to table ratio like it is still 2019, it was excellent service throughout. The tempting A-board lunch offer was not available but the Golden Easter menu was and at £35pp inc glass of prosecco it read well, so we went for that. A generous Salmon starter presented with a smoked cloche, delicious Rye and a netted half lemon. Water melon and duck salad was equally as tasty, mains of prawn curry and chicken, although simple, still demonstrated excellent cooking and flavour. Prosecco dry and delightful. All in all well worth a visit. Mr Caring will do well to sell at top money, I hope the new owners don’t slash the overheads too much and the Ivy can stay true to its roots.”

  “first time at the ivy! we had their £19.17 two course menu, which ended up being really cheap! started with the french onion soup, which was lovely, and the chicken skewers, which were gorgeous, satay chicken can never go wrong. for mains we had the mushroom tortellini and the shepherds pie. the tortellini was a little boring, but tasted good, same with the shepherds pie, which was pretty standard, quite small portion though. we finished it off with the sticky toffee pudding which was delicious!! it comes with clotted cream on the top, which i loved! i feel like the atmosphere in the ivy never disappoints, lovely interior, music, and vibe. the seats at the bar are also very vibey, with the light up bar table. however, i feel like ive “done” the ivy now, dont really feel like any of the food was amazing enough to have again. i also think that if i were to have paid full price for the items, or got the from the standard menu, that they wouldn’t have been worth the price. but obviously for the £19.17 price point, i cannot complain! overall, lovely vibe restaurant with nice staff, but the quality of the food doesn’t really match the price point, but had a good time nonetheless!”
