About The Lewisham Bar & Restaurant
The Lewisham Bar & Restaurant is a restaurant in West Bromwich on Vale St, with seats that look out over Dartmouth Golf Course. The kitchen pairs British classics with dishes from further afield, and the menu runs from mushroom arancini as a starter to lamb shank among the mains. Dessert includes an apple and blackcurrant crumble with custard. Afternoon tea comes on a cake stand of sandwiches, scones and cake, and it can be prepared without pork. Large parties pre-order their food, which keeps a group meal organised ahead of the visit.

Customer Review Summary
The recurring complaints concern afternoon tea and pacing. Two reviewers describe a tea where a no-pork request produced a vegetarian plate, one teapot served three people, and double cream replaced clotted cream. One of them also found a single ham sandwich and egg sandwich on the stand to share between two. Another reviewer says they were asked three times if they had finished before a stated 2pm table deadline. A large birthday party reports a long wait for mains, a forgotten child's meal, and strawberry ice cream arriving instead of vanilla.

“My Husband & I went here tonight 8/6/26 to have a meal for our Wedding Anniversary it was superb. Staff were attentive, pleasant and kept us informed bout dishes we had ordered. They wasn’t all over you and gave you time in between courses! Really enjoyed our Steaks, in fact they were the biggest and thickest steaks we have ever had, and cooked beautiful, very succulent, well presented and HOT! We had puddings later on an Apple/Blackcurrant Crumble with custard that was so nice & a Lemon pie with berries it was beautiful! We would definately book to go again! Lovely atmosphere we preferred a booth but you can have a seat looking over the Golf course if you chose, very clean it’s a real gem for West Brom!”

“We went to the Lewisham as a party of 14 to celebrate a birthday. We were asked to pre-order our food due to being a large party which I can fully appreciate. However, after arriving at 3pm, we were made to wait 1hr 20 minutes for our mains. They then forgot one of the children's meals, my 2 year old son, so as you can imagine, I was pretty frustrated after waiting so long. They had even asked when we got there if we had ordered chicken or fish goujons. The meal then came out piping hot so he couldn't eat it straightaway, by the time it had cooled down he had lost interest. Surely you cook the children's meals first and let them cool whilst doing the adult meals. I then ordered my son vanilla and chocolate ice cream and they sent strawberry and chocolate. By this point I could not be bothered to send it back. There was no reduction in the price considering how long we were made to wait which is pretty shocking. Wouldn't rush to go back.”
