About Rekdi Pani Puri
Rekdi Pani Puri is a vegetarian Indian takeaway at 105 Ealing Rd in Wembley, built around chaat and other street food. The menu lists 150 types of chaat, which gives vegetarians a wide range to choose from in one place. Pani puri, vada pav and dhokla are among the named items, and Gujarati snacks sit alongside them. Customer Review Summary
Pani puri draws the most praise, with one reviewer describing fresh flavours, crispy puris and spicy water with a good kick. Another rates the dhai puri even better and calls the jalebi some of the best they have had, while a regular singles out authentic Gujarati snacks at cheap prices for London. One reviewer used the catering for a family gathering and describes food arriving exactly on time, with a sweet dessert. Complaints are concrete and recur. Several fault the service, including a rude reply at the inner order window, no clear signage for where to order, and staff giving conflicting prices for a Coke and a Vada Pav. One reviewer was handed a plain Vada Pav, then a Cheese Vada Pav with cheese simply sprinkled on top, and takeaway Gujarati snacks arrived soggy. Others cite limited seating, a half broken chair, and an indoor seating area that lacks hygiene. One reviewer reports a rotten, foul smelling Pav Bhaji curry, and says a staff member admitted they hadn't checked and offered a refund.

“I had a very disappointing experience at Rekdi Panipuri in Wembley. The pricing was completely inconsistent. I asked one staff member about the price of a Coke and was told it was £1, but when I paid, another staff member charged me £1.50. The same thing happened with the food. The menu board clearly displayed £5.50 for the Vada Pav, but I was charged £6 without any explanation. The staff seemed confused, and no one could give me a clear or consistent answer about the prices. The food was equally disappointing. I ordered a Cheese Vada Pav, but I was initially given a normal Vada Pav. When I pointed out the mistake, they took it back and simply sprinkled cheese on top instead of making it properly. A Cheese Vada Pav is supposed to have the cheese inside, not just thrown on top. It looked unappetising and tasted terrible. I also ordered Gujarati snacks as a takeaway, but by the time I got home they were soggy and tasted very poor. Overall, the service was disorganised, the pricing was inconsistent, and the food quality did not meet expectations. I would rather recommend spending your money at a better restaurant than eating here. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back.”

“Went to outside window to order and no one wad there so after waiting ages I went to the window inside only for the woman to rudely say that I need to order from the outside window. Eventually a woman appeared at the outside window, I had to re-queue and fortunately was only one person. No clear signage of where you should go to order. Impolite service at inner window. Let's hope the much hyped dhokala (£5) is good.... Will update review thereafter.”

“Very poor quality food. They are serving leftovers. We ordered Pav Bhaji, and the curry was rotten and had a bad smell. I went to ask the staff if they were serving leftovers, and surprisingly, she replied, "Yes, sorry, we didn't check." She simply offered a refund. What if we had eaten it and suffered food poisoning? They didn't seem concerned about that at all. This was our first visit, and we are new customers. I honestly don't understand how this place became so famous. Extremely disappointing experience. I would not recommend it.”

“This used to be a decent place for a quick snack- nothing too fancy, just a quick 5 minute stop for some chat patta food. However, the quality of food has gone down, and the prices have gone up, to the point that for some of the dishes, you're paying restaurant prices- when in actual fact, you're eating with disposable cutlery, sitting on a half broken chair, or having to stand at busy times. The masala chips were over priced for what they were- which is a small portion of chips with some salt and chilli powder- £5!!! The service also isn't great.”
