  “Have visited a few times and it’s been fine but usually mid afternoon, last visit was an early evening one 6pm booking , I arrived a few minutes early and asked if it was ok - was told that’s good as we need this table at 8pm. Immediately felt like I was being rushed and on a conveyor belt. Maybe a quick phone call pre my arrival to ask if a 2hr slot would be enough for my booking. Or even just waited to see how we were going and at 7:30pm apologise and let us know you had a booking for 8pm & sorry for any inconvenience. Food ( two tapos dishes ) took ages, mine was stone cold. I wasn’t sure if mushroom truffle tapas should be cold, but having looked into later no it shouldnt. We had to ask a young lad twice for a glass of water as he forgot after the first ask. Waitress came to take our payment. We were paying our own bill, my friends was a tapos £9 and a cocktail £11 waitress struggled to work out how much she should pay…. £20! The total bill was £42.25 so I had to tell her mine was £22.25. I gave her £25. I was going to leave a tip but as it was she never came back with the change! On the positive side the cocktail was lovely. The atmosphere nice, decor lovely. Just need some staff training & ensure food is hot!”

  “Four London Road, Horndean — A Masterclass in How Not to Run a Restaurant. If you’re looking for a long, frustrating wait followed by flavourless food and non-existent service, Four London Road has you covered. Our visit was an exercise in patience, and not in a good way. We waited over an hour before anything resembling food appeared. The only thing offered during that dead time was a token handful of chips — clearly meant to pacify us rather than apologise. No explanation, no update, nothing. Just silence and waiting. With only two staff on, the lack of attentiveness was astonishing. They drifted around without making eye contact, let alone checking in. Plates from earlier dishes sat abandoned on the table long after we’d finished with them, and trying to get anyone’s attention felt like interrupting a private daydream. When the food finally arrived, it was the final disappointment: bland, flat, and utterly forgettable. After such a long wait, you’d hope the kitchen was taking extra care. Instead, it tasted like the flavour had been left behind with the missing service. Overall, the whole experience felt disorganised, indifferent, and not remotely worth the time or money. There are plenty of other places that actually value their customers — this isn’t one of them. Oh.. and if you have the unfortunate displeasure of going here, order drinks without ice as they fill glasses full of ice so much so as not to have to give you much of the actual drink you want.”

  “We were looking forward to a great pizza on Sunday evening, and pre-booked to make sure we could get a table. It wasn't until we were about to order that we were told that the pizza oven was out of action, and had been since Friday. We pointed out that the restaurant could have let us know as they had our contact details. We were told that an email had been sent earlier that day. However, we received no such email. As vegetarians, this left almost nothing on the menu that we could eat, so we left.”

  “I came with some work colleagues it was busy and the music was very loud. It has a trendy feel about it and I must say the Christmas decorations were lovely. Toilets upstairs were so so, urine on the floor. The period features in the building were beautiful I loved the fireplace. The other clientele were off putting I guess they are attracted to the trendiness and vibe of the place, loud, shouty, obnoxious, and not discouraged by the staff. Our table was for 8pm and our food order was not taken until 8.50pm. The first set of drinks brought to us were not ours, water was forgotten and I had to remind. Out of the 3 cocktails I sampled two were excellent and I thoroughly enjoyed them. My colleagues also enjoyed their drinks. Tapas food came out as it was ready and I liked this, it was a hit and miss bag on the food, some tasty bits some things not so or quality seemed lacking. No serving spoons brought with the dishes and had to ask for some no steak knives and as the meat was tough and chewy they were needed. A cup of tea forgotten later had to be asked for again. All and all it was an ok meal but not amazing food and bits lacking on the service side, some polishing needed. For younger adults with different expectations I can see why they rate it. I was pleasantly surprised however when the bill came, averaged at £55 per head which is extremely reasonable.”

  “Girls night out. If you like cocktails, you will love this place. Quite pricey, but great if you want to spoil yourself. Good menu, lots to choose from. Don't go here if you after a quiet romantic night out, more of a hip, loud vibe, but lots of fun!”

  “Had a fantastic meal here on Thursday 3rd September. All of the staff were extremely attentive, the food was of extremely high quality and the drinks menu was wonderful! I would highly recommend a visit to this wonderful restaurant!”

  “We came here for a family birthday on a Thursday evening. Our party consisted of 5 adults and we all ordered 3 dishes each off the tapas menu. Every single dish was delightfully delicious! The service was quick and the staff very personable and friendly. They really knew their stuff and were very knowledgeable about the drinks and food. You wouldn't think it had been open for less than a month! Lovely atmosphere.”
