About Happy Seasons
Happy Seasons is a family-run takeaway in Warrington, at 30 Parksway, that pairs a Chinese menu with fish and chips. That gives one counter two kinds of order, so a table can mix chips and fish with dishes from the Chinese side. The Chinese menu includes crispy shredded beef in hot and sour sauce and Honey BBQ ribs, and a share box for two covers a smaller group. Payment is cash only, though bank transfer is accepted. The shop opens evenings only, Tuesday to Sunday, and closes on Mondays. The menu has no half and half option.

Customer Review Summary
Chips draw the most mentions, described as proper, fresh chips that stand apart from the oven chips at the usual Chinese takeaway. Close behind are the Chinese dishes, where reviewers single out chicken with char siu, spring onion and ginger, honey BBQ ribs, crispy shredded beef in hot and sour sauce, and a share box for two, though one found the chicken wings too heavily battered. Several praise the friendly staff and hot food, and one long-time regular calls it consistent and family run. The complaints are recurring. Reviewers describe slow service, including a Saturday evening wait one diner calls the slowest they have encountered, a long wait even for chips, smaller portions at higher prices, and worry about cold food. One found curry and chips inedible, another got home without the boiled rice, and one describes a run-down shop and cites a poor council hygiene rating, while another mentions a five star one. One diner notes that half and half was not on offer, but staff made one anyway.

“Every time I went it was fine although it it’s high price point for the food is leading for more to go to other shops; due to the same offerings. The food is genuinely alright however last time I ordered curry and chips and they were inedible. Portions are smaller yet costs have gone up drastically, have to wait a long time even just for chips and we have had sadly had to switch to another take away due to quicker, cheaper and due to not wanting the risk of ordering food which is food which is cold”

“Very nice food but the slowest service i have ever encountered. If you want a meal at 7pm on a Saturday evening order it on Friday.”
