Customer Review Summary
Chips are the most frequent talking point, and opinions split. Fans call the chips lovely and tasty, with one praising a good portion of chips, peas and gravy and another noting great value on tasty fish, chips and peas. Others found the chips hard, as if they had sat for weeks, or stale in a chip barm. The fish gets mixed treatment: one reviewer called it good, while another reported soggy batter with not a crisp bit, despite asking for the fish to be separated to dry and only a short drive home. Prices draw complaints, with one reviewer calling the cost of small chips and mushy peas a joke even though the food was good. Service is divided too. One reviewer found it excellent and another found staff friendly, yet two describe rude staff. One reviewer reports mould specks on a hard buttered barm, and another describes a long wait after a delivery order was served first. One chip barm arrived swimming in vinegar despite a request for none.

“Sadly after today's journey I'm so disappointed, the fish was a massive let down, after asking for the fish to be separated to dry from the deep fry, and giving plenty of time to settle, and only a two minute drive, the batter was terrible and soggy this fish was of extremely low grade cod not a single bit of the batter was crispy, chips a 6-10 peas 7-10, service was excellent.”
