About Harvester George Stephenson
Harvester George Stephenson is a family restaurant on Stephenson Ave in Walsall, with a staffed soft play area called Fuzzy Ed's where children can play before or after eating. Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out friendly, welcoming table service, with servers who suggest dishes, show guests to their table and offer drinks straight away. The food is described as hot and well cooked, including the slow roast belly pork, a full English and French toast at breakfast, and desserts such as the glazed choux bun and banoffie French toast. One family used the private room for a child's birthday and it worked well for them. Criticism centres on breakfast value, where one family describes shrinkflation, an Eggs Benedict of one tiny egg on toast, and pancakes that were flat and chewy rather than fluffy. Another reviewer found the salad bar not the best and the restaurant quiet with plenty of empty tables, and one notes a wait for the belly pork. Families repeatedly mention Fuzzy Ed's play area, where the children burn off steam before the meal.

“Upon entering, Christine was incredibly welcoming asking us where we would like to sit and promptly asked if we’d like our drinks. She was fantastic and went above and beyond for us. Our other server Dom was friendly, professional and very kind and welcoming also. Food was amazing as always. Always love coming here. Would recommend. Can’t wait to come back soon.”

“Really enjoyed our breakfast. We had a full English and French toast. Cooked perfectly and really good size portion. Compliments to the chef Kaz. The manager and waitress Emma made us feel really welcome and nothing was too much trouble. We’ll definitely be eating here again”

“My husband and I popped in for an impromptu lunch before picking the children up from school on our day off, and we’re so glad we did. From the moment we arrived, Christine was incredibly friendly, chatty, and professional. She took the time to recommend dishes from the menu, and her suggestions were absolutely spot on. Chef Raven certainly did not disappoint either. The food was beautifully presented, full of flavour, and cooked to perfection. Every dish we ordered was thoroughly enjoyable. Overall, it was a brilliant lunchtime experience with excellent service and fantastic food. We’ll definitely be returning and would highly recommend it to others. Mr&Mrs P”
