“We booked at short notice on a Sunday late afternoon evening and were given a table with a sea view. The food was excellent with us both having rotisserie chicken. Diego, who served us was his usual excellent self - friendly, welcoming, helpful and humorous. Updated on 23rd October 2026. We visited the Derby Pool on Friday morning for breakfast. As usual the staff were excellent - efficient, friendly and attentive. We were served by Diego again and he was his usual charming self. While the dreadful weather spoilt the normally spectacular beach views, the great food and exceptional service made up for it. It's definitely one of our favourite breakfast venues on the Wirral!”
